    Hi team,

My 2014 - Punto, which has been trouble free all these years is facing issue for the first time.
Last weekend when I took my car out, noticed AC was not blowing the cold air. Tried to change different settings, switched off and on, nothing worked.

After reaching home when I opened the bonnet, I noticed one of the wires was chewed off by the rat. Other than AC, car is working perfectly. This weekend I am planning it give it for regular servicing and repair.

I will post the picture of the same soon.

I need your valuable suggestion on how much its going to cost me to get it fixed. Is it possible to fix the same cable or replace it?

    Thanks in advance.

If it is only a single wire and the fix should be straight forward, either a patch or replacement. Let us see the photo

Looking at the pictures seems like the wires have come off the connector. It should be possible to remove the connector and resolder the wires on connector. From pics doesn't looks like a part need replacement.

From picture the damage doesn't seem to be a major issue if you are able to fix wire to connector without need for replacing the entire cable. Are you planning to visit Fiat Service Center or a local mechanic?

No, the top wire is completely cut by the rat. Hope simple soldering will fix it.

Only problem is the wire at the connector end is very short. As my service is already pending, I will be visiting KHT service center. Depending on the estimate, I will take a call to replace or repair and whether to get it done at KHT or local mechanic or do it myself ;)

Off topic: How much does your Punto MJD regular service cost? I have been charged around 14k

Got my ride serviced at PPS cost me 10K for all filters and oil change plus alignment balancing. No major service i.e. replacement of all fluid. My drive is over 6 years old got a coating for silencer was charged 1.5K for it.
Have not be paying more than .8 Rs/KM for service.

Sorry for the late update. I got my issue fixed at KHT service center. They did a very good job on addressing my issue. Finally it was a simple wiring fix. They charged me INR 500, only for the labour .

    Thanks to KHT team.

Good that your issues is fixed.
They charging only for labour again a good sign, I recently got my AC topped up free of cost. Not even labour.
Is KHT becoming Fiat car owner friendly? Too late?

Not completely. Last time I visited KHT for the front passenger seat bolt tightening. Initially they told me they would charge 400 Rs. After some discussion with the manager they agreed to charge 150 Rs for Labour. Unfortunately the bolt that holds the seat to the body has a specialized tool (may be hexagonal torque tightener definitely not a allen type screw) which is not available easily.
