    Hi,

Few weeks back I got an issue in my car, when I got into the car and started the engine, in the dashboard I saw ABS yellow light glowing continuously and a warrning message "ABS Unavailable Check the HandBook" was getting displayed. Immediately I called up Fiat Service Engineer and told about this problem, he said no need to worry, you drive for one day and come to service station tomorrow. The next day I took my car over there and gave it to the service engineer, after 1/2 hour he handed over the car back to me and told that the problem got rectified. When I checked the dashboard, that message and ABS yellow light got vanished. The service engineer was telling me that the ABS sensor is not working properly due to dust/mud got accumulated in the sensor and this could be due to recent rain and after cleaning those stuffs the sensor started working and the ABS functional.

I wanted to know, whether you guys faced such issues in your Punto/Linea? If so what was the actual issue? :anyone

Yes it happens at times but with different reasons...

One of them is what the advisor told you... the other is rats eating the wires :shocked ... or a glitch in the car electricals... :uh
The electrical glitch most of the times solves its self on a car restart, or the next day when you turn the car on, or on disconnecting the battery terminal for 10 mins..

Apart from these reasons there is no way for the error to show up..

OT: BTW, any particular reason with the pink color font?? ::V

It happened 3 times for me in my Linea :shocked . Two times it was due to some soldering issue. 3rd time they told me sensor is damaged and I had to wait for 25 days for the replacement to come. :sad1

    Hi,
I just happened to see the "rats chewing wires...." remark.'
Guys, I have seen rat droppings and some polybags chewed by rats in my car.
If anyone could suggest a remedy.
    Thanks.
