I had a bent spare alloy wheel, which I wanted to get it repaired and use it for spare wheel. I had enquired in Bangalore and Chennai, but was unsuccessful until yesterday, when that work was done satisfactorily at A1 Car Care Centre, 1[SUP]st[/SUP] Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore. The bent wheel was taken elsewhere and repaired with heat treatment.

My Linea had undergone wheel balancing and wheel alignment. In addition, she had her rear wheel brake drums and front wheel brake clippers painted with black and red respectively. They are also dealers for different brands of tyres and alloy wheels. The only negative I found was space constraints vis-a-vis vehicles coming in. My Linea was parked on the road-side and the wheels were removed for painting and wheel balancing.

All wheel-related issues could be got attended to under one roof here. M/s Ilyas Khan and Syed Aleem Pasha [brothers] were real task-masters and personally supervise all the works and take care of customers. There was no need to tip the staff as they were all too busy and minding their own business! I have decided to patronize with them in future for all my Linea's wheel-related matters.:up

Thanks, Ravi. When you come from Lal Bagh main gate towards Koramangala, take right turn towards Ashoka Pillar. A1 Car Care Centre is located on the left before Mallige Mahabodhi Hospital. See here for its location.

Chennai TFIans.. any luck in finding something like this in Chennai? Im seriously searching for a place to get mine corrected... but all my efforts have ended in vain so far ! None of the big tyre/ balancing shops like Lal etc. take up these tasks. I just hear one statement consistently. If Alloys are bent, please replace them. You cannot mend them !

In fact i also hear that when you try bending them back, theywould develop cracks ! I dont know if this is a sales trick or because the task is complicated, they are shying away from it .

Once, I did padayatra from Lloyods Road [starting from Lal's] to General Patters Road, enquiring all wheel alignment shops. Finally, I entered Border Thottam [turned right after Jayaprada (Midland) theatre on GP Road] where there were many small workshops specialising in sundry jobs connected with automobile and other industrial needs. At the end of the lane, one guy assured me that he would remove the bend on alloy wheels, but somehow, I could not go there later. You can enquire at Border Thottam.
My Linea's alloy had two small bends. After removal of them, I examined it and found only some small patch of black mark on the inside due to heat treatment and nothing else. No cracks or no blisters. None could find any difference from outside.

Well I had visited his shop, but I was dissapointed to say.First of all he says, any PCD alloys can be fitted in Punto and warranty will not be void.According to him Concorde itself buys alloys from him it seems:chair:.
Then coming to prices he is quoting 23 k for a set of 4 alloys in NEO.(Oh common NEO is considered to be very cheaper). And regarding Linea steel rims he quoted me around 1000 bucks for a single piece where as Concorde itself quoted 850 for a brand new one.And don't even ask for the tyre prices!!
