^^oh i see,Thanks for the correction,so two take off from mjd,
one is mild while other is wild.
Thanks for your compliments Ravi.
Well, its not typo linealover. I may be wrong on observation. What I am certain is that there were 2 rounds of turbo spool. I will have a check on the RPM's.
Pictures of mighty 90? Here you go. (Picture Courtesy - FiatJay and teky )
Absolutely stunning photography!!!, brilliant colour suits the charisma of punto.
cuty red must envy you.
Teky is right, second turbo kick @3000 rpm

Lover:mrgreen:, IMO you are not wrong in-fact anything noticeable i.e. a shove arrives after 2000 RPM only. Since it's a VGT, it keeps aligning it's vanes continuously to make best use of whatever exhaust gas pressure. It starts from 1700 RPM but it is effective enough at the given low exhaust pressure. Albeit It doesn't give you a violent push@1700 RPM but it feels lot easier & pick up is certainly there when you press the throttle. As soon as 2200-2400 RPM arrives, it's tilt adjusted vanes starts making the full use of gas pressure which stays till fuel cut off (5000 RPM). It's as per my observation. May be it's strongest in 2500-4000 RPM range but you can notice it beyond 4000 RPM too & very easy to notice. FGT have fixed vane position at all RPMs so it's scope is limited wrt. VGT.
Does 90HP/Linea MJD's VGT's follow some different principal, i don't know but that's how standard VGT works. May be experts have some more insight here if the logic is applicable.
Thats right. Just tested my car . I feel better pickup from 1500 RPM, first turbo spool at 2000 RPM (as you told it is mild). And a much stronger spool at 3000-3500 RPM. I couldn't ascertain it exactly.
