The car's pics might have missed because you cannot drive till the shore in Rameshwaram and as per the recommendations, he might haven't driven the Punto till Mukundharayar Chatthiram (the jeep/truck drivers who takes us to Dhanuskodi charges more if they see us alighting from car), that is the last point before Dhanushkodi.

Nice pics! A perfect place for a starscape I think, assuming the tide is not too high. BTW, Sri Lanka mainland is just under 30 Kms from the tip of Dhanushkodi (according to Google Earth).

At Dhanushkodi waves were almost a meter height most of the times but at Rameshwaram it was lot calmer.

    Hey Sat, Beautiful pictures.
I really like the Pamban Rail and road bridge picture in your first post. :up

Dhanushkodi was a mesmerising experience when i visited in it 2011. I paln to visit it again. The jeeb ride and the feeling of sorrounded by the sea is beautiful. I was told that the water at Dhanuskodi is very dangerous and especially so during Dec every year am not sure about the reason though.

Nice pictures Sat, Btw liked the pictures of the bridge and the boat..
OT... Are you using a SLR?? If yes, then to make the pictures look better shoot with a lightly underexposed setting, Since it is easier to touch up on a Underexposed shot and underexposing gives you a liitle bit more shadows in the picture, which adds to the overall picture.. :ugeek:
