thanks for sharing the calc:geek:
i will be very muck keen on your search for 195/65 R15
................. any tire updates ?
shams what is gain by changing to 15 inch steel RIMS?
You can go for wider tires in 14 inch itself by matching overall diameter to 195/60/15.
you will be saving on the cost of RIMS , cover .
Haven't done till now. Will be doing the change probably in last week of May.
Manu, i intend to go for alloys some time in future and I find 15 inchers looking better thats why
thanks sham for the update.
my punto has completed 26K Kms now and i'm planning to do it after 35K Kms. may be 4 months more to wait, till then i can have a reviw from you tire profile.
Ordered linea rims and wheelcaps from kava mumbai, yesterday. Expecting to receive them some day next week. Will buy the tyres (Michelin PLC 195/65/R15) immediately after receiving the rims.
Why you need to order rims and wheelcaps from Kava, you should easily get those in dealers/service centers?
What was the cost from Kava?
Thanks shams for the update ! looking forward for your new tires
I checked with spare parts counters of concorde dairy circle, kht and aadya. KHT had only two rims and none of them had wheelcaps. Didn't check with prerana though. Thought of trying kava this time instead of waiting for them to arrive at SC.
linea rim: 970
linea wheelcover: 388
I would have to pay the courier charges around 500 and pick it up from the courier company's branch in bangalore. They also told that the parts would be dirty and might have few scratches as well. hoping they are good.
The price difference is not much and I am sure you could have ordered through KHT or Concorde.
Anyway, steel rim should not have any issue, with small scratches etc., but I read sometime back, Kava keeps mostly used items.
