Noise from ZLO's should be expected. MRF has presented them as a "high performance" tyre, not exactly oriented for comfort touring.

Michelin XM2 can be another option for our Puntos. They do seem sensible.

No no, this sound is not the common one we see in tires. At high speed, tires are really quite. But this sound is something of unique type. Its same as faulty bearing would make, increases with speed. Like a specific part of tire is hitting ground and making this sound, heavy ''grr grr'' kinda sound. But after crossing 55kmps, sound goes away and as speed increases even more, it becomes normal.
Similar problem is reported by another person on teambhp too, heres the link.

Same noise comes in my linea too. I initially thought its bearing noise. But all 4 tyres make this noise.

Have the tyres developed ''bumps'' on the contact surface?

This happened with a set of Goodyear's on the Palio. But they were at the end of their service life. The noise was pretty bad as if something in the suspension setup was loose.

Always NO to MRF. I used ZVTS and had to discard them at 25000 kms only while just before them my Bridgestone gave a mileage of 80000 kms on my Cielo and still I sold them for Rs.2000/-. ZVTS got dry within three years while a Dunlop tyre used as stepeny only, 8 year old is still OK. Further, tyre noise is related to road quality. On excellant roads, I listen only slight wind noise escaping in through window glass even at 110 kms/h on stock tyres of my 1.3 dynamic.

I think within next 15-20 days I will need to change my punto's tyres (195x60 15" ). At present am on stock Accellere's 44k Kms. As most of us I am confused between V550, C drives, A Drives & ZLO. With the kind of work & areas I go, the tyres side walls cannot be very soft, hence PLC's are out. I drive a lot approx 3k per month, hence good Grip, comfort & less road noise are also important. So can you please suggest me the best for a Punto 90HP.

    Thanks
    Kiran

    Ganges,
My past 2.0Lakh kms ( 6 years) were on NCT5 (72000kms) & Acelere's (78K kms + 44K kms) I am sure both the tyres & the are good. However, am looking at a tyre which can make less noise as well :).
