If 180kmph is when your 90 is getting up and yawning, i wonder what it'll do when fully awake. 250+ maybe.

Well, the discussion was on a relaxed cruising speed. Which you drifted to max speed discussion.

On matter of max speeds etc i have no comments whatsoever.

    Cheers.

Hummm... good point. 125@3000 RPM, what say? Not relaxed?
130@3100 RPM, what say, not relaxed? It's relaxed actually between 110-140 km/hr as i said earlier.
Let's not put a definitive speed.

It wasn't directed at you but instead towards Satya query what could be easiest/earliest to achieve & i commented it to be 175@4200 RPM. That was just for his information since he is considering a 90 HP so let's make peace here little bro.

But one thing is sure, Whenever it awakes, it really does;)!! I will take your comment as complement. Honestly, That's what i thought during early days of ownership, LOL!! Though not 250km/hr, i was expecting to get over 210-220 Km/hr@5th gear@5200 until i realized that it was just one dumb thought in India at least:mrgreen:. I laughed on myself later on being so optimistic for this 1248 cc.

Enki, My sincere request is to avoid taking photographs at higher speeds like 170-180kmpr.
I think your Punto got an good run-in period and may be the reason for its high performance.:D

Sungoa & Shams, How else do i prove that 5th gear of 90 HP is very tall, i am not talking overkill & high speeds achieved at very low RPMs? These are very old pics & never intended to be posted.
But how to counter such comments like overkill, short gearing without any base at all?
I just said somewhere that Punto will swirl among all vehicles & disappear along the horizon. Immediately in no time, a comment popped calling it "over kill". Fortuner/Endeavor has to be@200km/hr to overtake if i am doing some photography in Punto & not racing. Sorry, but that's how we can stop the critics, if we can't trust each other.
All my arguments would have been discarded if i claimed that without any pics. I was made to do that. As far as safety is concerned, it was downright dangerous in any other car@100km/hr. Since it was Punto, i feel that easy@180km/hr in it. That was not being irresponsible if you trust me::T. I can't promise till i keep getting baseless arguments. If someone questions my top speed belief of 190km/hr, by god, i will snap it at 200km/hr next day & post it here because that how i can shut him up.

We believe, what you achieved. So friend no need to prove it. As I told earlier there is lot of other factors like the driving skill, engine condition, etc etc. So there can be a variation withing cars. Somebodies comfort may be somebody else danger zone. So please keep on writing. But avoid visual proofs. Logical arguments are always better.

I take your words Sungoa. Thanks for the family gesture!
By the way you signature banner is rocking:up..!!

One point for 75HP vs 90 HP for a person in a fix between two can be "VGT appears more relaxed with better NVH levels between 110-140 kmph". That's understandable on part of FGT IMO. That's what exactly VGT is expected to do.
Hence VGT is a comparatively easy cruiser. May be people feel confused at times & hardly separates them in a Punto but VGT NVH levels are just staggeringly better. Notice it henceforth now.
