1 Year with my Grande Punto

Really felling bad after seeing all these. Some how I missed this thread for some time and missing the car in parking lot from last few days..wish the car a speedy and error-free recovery..

 

Body repair is completed and car is now sent to do running repairs. After the accident ,2 strange things popped up.

1. Check engine light warning.
2. Glow plug warning.

This two error is shown in MID. AFAIK the second is not a major warning, not sure what is the reason for the first. Car is at KHT FASS center from last saturday [06-JULY-2013].

I was told issue will be fixed in 2 days ;however after calling them today found that they are not able to find the reason for "Check engine light" warning. Requesting one more day to find the issue.

Really felt bad that, not able to diagnose one case in 3 days and requesting more time. SA was saying they have many car took for the service.

 

have been going to KHT for last couple of days. saw your car parked outside. from the condition it didn't look like it has been attended!

 

Thanks Shams for bringing this. I am really getting frustrated by hearing this. I am staying in Electronic city and very difficult for me to go to the SC everyday to see the progress.

 

oh yes. now it occurred to me.
I remember seeing a blue punto as well. ( you have 2 abarth stickers on the rear windshield stuck side by side right?).
I had been there last saturday and I will agree with what shams said. It didn't look like they have worked on your car from quite a while. The car was really just gathering dust there.

Coming to the service part. I actually went all the way into the service bays . Its a huge enclosure and somehow I didn't see any FIAT being worked on.
Of course I went at 10AM sharp so may be folks were just stepping in but you might want to check personally on what is happening.

 

I dropped a mail to Adit and GM Suresh to get an update. This morning GM has given a call and informed as it was major impact, they are checking all wiring and it needs more time and promised an assurance to give a call back by evening to give an update.

 

At last a TFIian with a Oceanic Blue Punto MJD..

 

After many days of diagnosis, found the reason for "check engine light" warning . Fuse Box is the culprit which needs to be replaced. It got shorted due to the impact. Price quote given for the new one is 7,000 Rs.

Can some one confirm whether the price for the fuse box is correct.

 

If it was due to impact then it should be covered under insurance right?

 

I told them to check for possibility to get it covered in insurance. As it is a shortage, I am not sure insurance guys will give cover those electrical parts. Now waiting for the part is going to be a pain. Bharath was saying it will take 3 days and GM was saying it will take 4-5 days to reach the part.
