Paid a visit to Wheels FIAT today. The camber was out, by a good margin, on 3 wheels (both front and left rear) on the Linea leading to uneven wear of the tire.

It is all sorted out now and the car was handed back to me in 2 hours. Not bad. The mechanic called me from the Customer Lounge and informed about the corrected camber settings and showed on the computer that they match with the prescribed values. Nice touch.

Total bill Rs.562 as I got Wheel Alignment free due to an offer they were giving a month or two back. All in all, fully satisfied by the experience.

    Cheers.

I though linea had only options to adjust the Toe in front. Please throw some light as there is one value which is off in Castor/Cambor( not sure what is off. Need to see the report)

Yes, You can adjust camber in the front as well as rear. The labour charge at FASS for camber adjustment for both front and rear is Rs.600. This is cheaper than some outside wheel alignment shops that I know of.

    Cheers.

Camber can be adjusted in front by changing the nut bolt which hold shocker and wheel hub or by filing shocker little if its way out of specs.
For adjusting rear camber they install washer like things between hub and axle and castor is adjusted by moving wishbone.
Good to see wheels fiat is more professional about their work now

Yes Vijai, this method I am aware of, but never in the world I dreamt that Authorized SS will take such pains to adjust the camber by this method and hence my doubt. But if you take vehicles such as Indica, and some Chevys Toe and Camber can be adjusted and if you take Indigo , even the toe values in rear wheel can be adjusted. If I remember rightly, I think in Fortuner, innova all three Castor, Camber and Toe can be adjusted. The Set up is inbuilt.

Great job by FASS. Normally I have have seen ASS recommend to change the whole suspension saying that camber cannot be adjusted. Heck, it even happened to me in MASS for my Alto. I got it done out for 200 bucks..

@Gurjinder - Can you post the before and after Alignment values.

My experience has always been great with Wheels fiat. They really know how to deliver. Earlier I also heard quite a lot of bad things about Wheels fiat, but I guess now they have really moved on positively which really shows. Written a small review.

I got our punto serviced from Wheels FIAT, Mohali 2 weeks back. I am amazed by their quality of care towards the car. I have, previously, never seen a technician treat the car like his own. He didn't floor the accelerator while moving the car in or out. I never like mishandling of my vehicles.

Very courteous staff and nice customer lounge from where you can see what is being done to the car. There were around 7-8 cars being serviced so got the car on time too. Gave it at 9:30am and got it back by 1pm.

In my opinion, Wheels Fiat is the best service centre in the Chandigarh tricity. I have been going all the way to Ambala for everything but from now, I shall be visiting Wheels Fiat as it closer to my place.
