Got an opportunity to visit the newly opened FIAT dealer for Mohali - Wheels FIAT - to replace one of the intercooler hose connections. The dealership is only around 2km's from where I live.

Thankfully, the part was in stock and the work was done by a FIAT trained guy. The car is almost back to full power now. They are asking Rs.800 for a complete EGR, Intercooler & Intake cleanup which I will get done soon.

There is a LOT of scope for improvement on the admin side of the dealer but since this is a new setup, I'm giving them that much laxity. :)

Only have this one low quality pic

Rs 800/- is too cheap. FASS here are demanding around 2k-3k for the same. Also they do only EGR cleaning.

Rs 800/- dirt cheap and almost equal to any FNG. I was quoted 3000/- at joshi for the same and after hearing the price decided to do it myself at home.
Visited their stall at the EXPO that was held at Sec 17 Ground few weeks back and sadly the people over there had zero knowledge about car and its feature and no need to say the stall was empty unlike Tata and Maruti stall and furthermore they were just not interested in attending customers, a man came took a look at car sat inside looked here and there but sales persons were busy chit chatting with each other and the man just went away after waiting for 2-3 mins.

There is some murky business in labour costs. The hose replacement labour in Mohali was Rs.200 and Speed FIAT wanted 600 for the same job. I asked Wheels FIAT about how they calculate labour costs and they replied that FIAT tells them what to charge via the online DMS. The dealer is not free to charge what they desire.

I'm thinking of getting this EGR thing done soon, before Wheels FIAT copy Speed FIAT prices. :evilsmile

Had a pathetic experience last week at Wheels Fiat. Avoid visiting
Visited them for 1,05k service, 3rd gear and 4th gear synchronizer replacement. They suggested EGR and Intercooler cleaning as extra work to be required gave them a go ahead and was told car would be ready by late evening. Left the workshop at around 12:30 as my semester examination was scheduled for 1:30 pm came back at around 6 pm and car was being washed at that time and I asked if everything was done and SA told everything is done and around 45 mins later SA asks to come for a Test Drive and we went for a drive and paid the bill afterwards and as it was getting late was around 7 pm missed checking the car completely just had a look for any scratches and dent and left the workshop.
Reached home at around 8 and started checking the car engine compartment one by one and noticed some parts missing and not fit correctly and also noticed that Brake fluid and PW Steering Oil were not changed and Intercooler and EGR were not even touched forget about cleaning them as they still had dirt on them. Called the SA and informed him about it and he kept on repeating that everything was done and told I would be coming back tomorrow morning.
Next morning again went to Workshop and showed them everything. Brake fluid was still red in color as I had added little Dot-3 fluid and PW steering fluid was dark in color and Intercooler mounting bolts had tons of dust which got deposited there as the clamp was faulty and I noticed it late and replaced the clamp myself without cleaning the deposit on the bolts and surrounding parts. Asked them to open up the intake and it still had deposits over there and the gearbox mounting support was missing and was found in Workshop. The SA was still insisting that everything was done, I lost my cool and started blasting them and works-manager comes running to see what the issue is and agrees that work was not done and offers to do work now. I stand near the car & observe them working on car they put no protection cover on Fenders, Steering and Driver Seat. They don't clean the manifold by removing from car just spray something and wipe it off with cloth and when I asked them about it they said that manifold bolts would strip if opened and just asked how many bolts does manifold have and he didn't know that and I understood he don't have enough expertise on Fiat cars and didn't push him further.

Would never visit that place again and most of the technicians are from Chittosho Motors MASS.

Oops! With the set up of wheels FIAT coming up, I was hoping that one would no longer be forced to go to Speed FIAT for getting the cars serviced in Chandigarh region. I was almost certain of going to Wheels FIAT for my upcoming 75000Km service. Looks like Metro Motors, Ambala is still the best place in this region to get the cars serviced.

Yup Metro motors is the best ASS nearby. Wheels Fiat should be given worst ASS award for cheating customers and don't feel one bit sorry about it. The way the work manager reacted looked like it was a routine work in that workshop and he actually know about this.

FIAT India is going to get a bad name because of these bad ASS. How did they select such a bad dealer is itself a million dollar question.

That's the difference between Metro Motors and other service centers. With Metro I have never even checked if the work is done, if they say its done, then its done and done properly. That is the only reason I drive 200 km from Delhi to get my car to them, whenever I have any work on the car.
