Made the 2nd visit to Prerana for fixing above pending issues.
    1. I was forced to get convinced that I have to shut the door hard with a bang to close it (problem is such a force can create rattles as the vehicle ages). Can TFIans help me if this is true in your Punto too? Do you really need to push the boot door hard to lock it? If I put normal pressure it goes all the way down smoothly and stops without locking. NOT HAPPY with the solution. Gotta check in some other vehicle.
    2. Reason stated is too much of dust in the winding channel. Wondering how in RR-LHS window alone. They cleaned and poured in lots and lots of oil to lubricate the channel. They lubricated to such an extent that oil is dripping from the bottom of door. I'm sure once the oil dries up, the problem will definitely pop-up again along with lots of dirty oil patches inside the door panel. NOT CONVINCED with the solution. Gotta check after a week time.
    3. The PS oil level is fluctuating. When checked today, it was a bit less than MAX level and the SA pointed out the mounting position of the reservoir for the same. Sounded logical.
    4. For the over filled brake fluid, a syringe was used to take out the excess. I was told that over filling wouldn't cause an issue as it may get adjusted if there are any air bubbles :shocked Was in no mood to educate them that air bubbles in the brake lining is a grave danger and that they must do brake fluid bleeding to solve that issue.

Overall, out of my past ownership experience (of an Alto, a Punto, a Yamaha Fazer and a Splendor) I have learnt that the service guys try to convince the customers instead of solving the issue.
There is a sign board at Prerana workshop area which reads something like "You are a Doctor, don't make your patient suffer". Hope they truly understand it.

Escalate the issue, perhaps to FIAT as well. Also try KHT or concorde. May be they have some thing else to say? Or too bad if they too play the same game :A

Even When i took delivery of the new car in Nov, the delivery guy told that front 2 doors need hard bang to close. some said, it will get smoothen with time. while sitting in the car, the sound of banging the door is disturbing. more problem when sitting in some other cars, feels like moving papers and bang the door even its not required. I am waiting for 1st service for 5K. I do hav couple of issues extra to address.

For point 1 it is expected to push door slightly harder for lock..

Do not worry..even in long run nothing happens..

First I'll check in another Punto too. My 2nd option would be to visit another dealer. If issue isn't solved, then escalate to FIAT.
The pain is the amount of time wasted in waiting at the customer lounge for an unsatisfactory work.

That seriously throws lot of questions on the "quality" of the final quality check at factory. If they did their job correctly, there won't be any such complaints. While exclusive service centres may improve customer satisfaction to an extent, the problem at factory's quality check needs to be fixed first. In my case, if they really verified the power windows functionality, they must have captured the issue. May be the checks are happening for name sake.

Same with my linea. Got to really bang the boot door to close it.

That definitely spoils the soft thud in Fiat cars. Every time someone gets in and out of the car, it pains to hear the bang instead of the thud effect :( It was a deal maker for me to choose Punto over any other Japanese models.

Actually Fiat cars are having 3 stage closing of door whereas the Maruti don't have this. The doors are designed to handle the pressure and so no rattles comes even if the car ages. To avoid the banging effect, just bring the door a bit closer, say the first stage of opening and close it. You don't feel the bang.

Boot door requires less effort to close compared to doors in my Punto. Definitely no banging required.
