"Sir, your billing is getting ready and it will take some more time as the server is having some issues." - I am hearing this reply from vecto from past one day. God knows what they are doing!

As somebody mentionen earlier, the overall experience reminds me of some government office :)

I had some amazing experience with Fiat Roadside Assistance though. Really impressed by the way they handled my problem. But then all those brilliant impressions went for a toss as soon as my Linea reached Vecto. :(

He is new to vector, he was earlier working in Concorde dairy circle.

I know him personally, he is good at customer service.

Took a running repair appointment with Vecto for couple of issues that cropped @6months/12k km. SA was one Mr.Shivakumar. The issues were :

    1) Kat-Kat noice from Front Left suspension --> 5 mins fix by technician. Tightened the Link rod. Pretty smooth now and noise vanished.
    2) Rear right door open warning message in dashboard --> Replaced the latch under warranty.
    3) Outside smell entering cabin even with recirculation on --> Shiva asked something to be checked(didn't really hear what he said). Tested it on my usual route today to office and seems to be fixed.
    4) Rattle from rear seat(right side). during my first service they did something and got fixed temporarily. Need to wait and watch if it occurs again.

Shiva said they will keep the job card open for a week. If any issues I can bring to get it fixed. Good job Vecto Service team :up

So I am thinking that Fiat is back to square-1 with the dealership issue. I am confused where to give the car for next scheduled service. My bitter experience with KHT motors coming up soon.

It sounds quite pessimistic to say Fiat is back to square one. There are many positive steps in right direction which always comes with initial hiccups. I have visited all 3 FASS in Blore multiple times on several occasions; never have been returned totally unsatisfied. Agree, there are few missing dots, but the situation isn't so bad that one has to feel dejected. At least in Blore, this shouldn't be the case.

Go to the place where you know most number of people. if you don't know in any then choose any one SC and start the process of knowing SC guys :)! That will help you in future.

I see your point punto_emotion. But having seen the dark days and the situation Fiat is in as a manufacturer, these thoughts are hard to press. The dealership do not give a damn no matter how many times to seek help of Fiat. Things were quite different a year back when Fiat was aggressive. At least I can see the development lately.

I best knew the people at Prerarna when I had my Palio when they had one SS at old madras road. Now I think I may have to give a shot to their renamed Vecto since that only seems to be the viable solution for now.
My expectation are very simple- Please do the normal service without inducing any new issue. With KHT there had been never a case when my car was like before after service in a negative way.

Apologies for my pessimism, it is coming after I saw the way MUL treating my friends and their car in a positive way despite of operating in volumes and irrespective of car model. Why we as a Fiat customer left in lurch, why do we deserve to be in? I agree there might be some cases with MUL/Hyundai as well, but look at their volumes versus no. of dealership ratio and compare them with Fiat's. There are hardly any car on road with 3 dealerships, with such a low volume I think one should be able to provide best service experience. Sadly it is the other way round.

Re: FIAT Exclusive Showroom: Vecto (Prerana) Motors, Bangalore

Had been to Vecto motors for 2nd service today.

So the story goes this way, I booked a slot for service, well in advance (you know how it works @ Vecto). The receptionist gave me a slot on Tuesday (19-Nov-13) and I agreed even though its a weekday. Also to be on the safer side booked a slot on 23-Nov-13 Saturday. Since am going out of station on this weekend, I decided to get the service done on 19-Nov-13 (as it is I had a booking).

Last Friday, I called Vecto to confirm about my appointment on coming Tuesday. The lady said "It was confirmed, you can drop your vehicle at around 10 am".

Spoke to my project manager, took a day off from work today stating I need it for getting the vehicle serviced and my slot has been booked for Today. Leave approved.

I start from my place at 9:00 am and needless to mention traffic in morning hours , I reached Vecto at 10:15 am. By the time i could park the car it was 10 mins already.I am at the reception sharp at 10:25 (25 minutes late my fault). The receptionist politely said, SA will come to attend me.

I sit in the customer lounge and its 11:00 am. I follow up with receptionist and she says, SA will attend me soon. I said "I have taken a day off just to get this service done, hope you value my time and get someone soon". I sit patiently in the lounge and finally its 11:30 but no one turned up.

Finally around 12:00 SA comes to check and notes all the details and issues.

    1. Dashboard panel broken.
    2. Rattling from boot and C pillar.
    3. Turbo kick not felt even at 3000 rpm. This was not an issue until 10,000 kms. Th odo reads 14,230 kms now.
    4. Second service.

I said " as a part of service get the brakes cleaned and show me the brake pads before replacement". The SA shockingly says "Are you going to stay here?, today you will not get the delivery sir, its already 12pm"

Now my question is, how long does a scheduled 2nd service take ? And if Vecto guys were already choked , why did they even commit for today? Is it of any good use to take an appointment and yet wait for 2 days (today and tomorrow) to get your car back ?

I had already taken a day off so there was no way to roll back as half of my day was gone. The SA informed me he will hand over the car by EOD.

Finally, my car was taken inside to the bay from parking lot at 4:00PM. At 5:30 PM service was complete and vehicle was dispatched for washing. Got the vehicle back at 7:00 PM.

Issues fixed out of 4 listed above ? Second service only. Only the replacement of filters and fluids was done and I see no difference in performance of the car (except of engine revving smooth due to oil change).

SA has told me, he will talk to CRM and get back to me on the issues, due to workload and less resources they weren't able to handle the issues. He apologized for the inconvenience and told me he will do the needful.

Waiting for the follow up call. No feedback given, coz I was never asked for the same. Hope to see my car back to normal soon.

I was expecting I would walk out of the service center with a smile on my face, I had good experience with Vecto so far and strongly recommended that SC to everyone. Hope they don't let me down this time.
