Sat, normally SAs are assigned to pre-booked service cars, and for quick work normally you don't need any SA, only requirement is to have some mechanic free. So meeting manager should help. And manager is part of ASS :).

Like KHT, is Vecto also becoming person dependent, instead of process dependent?

Reason is stated below. When nobody is available, contacting the person available is the option available. How does that turn out running high to get the work done?

Guess, Ravi mentioned about contacting Mr. Chennabasappa as the others (couple of service advisors and technicians) are on leave till Wednesday. More so the running repair does not need an appointment if it is minor. I dont think the process has changed.

More so Surya mentioned nobody there to attend reconfirms what I heard about the leave part.

It is very nice to hear that you had great experience at concorde. But they were so bad when it comes to resolving issues in my palio when I complained about the sound when going over potholes. The very knowledgeable SA at Concorde told the Brake calipers had gone kaput when in reality the issue was with lower arm ball joint :A. Vinod who was the service advisor at KHT diagonized it correctly, but the part was not in stock. Finally had got that fixed in Prerana Kudlu gate. If I had gone by Concorde SA's word I would have wasted a thousand bucks without getting issues resolved. By the way, the Calipers and the respective mounts are still intact even after completeing 35K kms after the issue was reported.

By the way, there is a services bay assigned for running repairs. I believe it has been posted on this thread.

Where will the SA guide the customer if there are multiple bays available when the technicians have taken leave?
is what the post was about and the leave.

Now before somebody complains about the technicians taking leave, all the service center folks have been working from April 5th to May 25th on all Sundays (except for May 1st, Ugadi which was a govt holiday and the election day). Having them saturated and frustrated will only deteriote the situation. The reality on ground is completely different than what one gets to see on the online forums, be it TFI, TBHP or any other forum for that matter.

Surya, as an alternative, do give KHT and Aadya a try and see if it can be resolved quickly.

No offense please to any body may be i am putting light for wrong reasons.. surprised to read that there is a quick service bay at Vecto is it inside or outside as i couldn't notice it , to the shortfall of service guys or increase in no. of cars i am surprised to hear only 20 cars are attended to in a day, earlier prerana was handling 150+ cars a day with additional cars with issues. In a Metro like Bangalore to my knowledge every day around 1000-1500+ cars are attended to and serviced by Maruti and Hyundai even though they look into additional issues as well, then why not here.. I will try and get this fixed in either of ASS soon.

They started their service station in the 1st week of april and its been a very hectic time for them bearing the sole responsibility of being the only exclusive service center. In time they will come in par with the so called other car service centers who would have suffered the same plight in their initial days..

One point you are completely missing is Maruti and Hyundai are selling in large numbers and there are n number of service centers to handle the volume of cars. Imagine the plight of maruti car owner if Bimal was the only one to service center to service maruti cars for the whole of Bangalore. Prerana was handling 150+ cars but the capacity/Volume of TATA+FIAT justified the infrastructure and not just FIAT alone. Now if Vecto goes ahead and install a 100 bays and has manpower, who will guarantee the volumes? Will I or you or for that matter FIAT itself commit to provide return on investment? What needs is a bit of realistic thinking. This situation would not repeat once all the 3 service centers go live with operations.

Today was having a word with FIAT officials about the sales volumes and service issues, they themselves cannot guarantee the numbers to dealers so how would you expect the dealer to go overboard and invest huge money to ramp up infrastructure.

The other two dealers need to get their service operations up and running. Only then we as FIAT owners would have an option to go. Else Vecto would continue to be blamed to eternity without the anyone considering the reality. This scenario would apply to whichever service center would have started operations first.

Here no one cares about the stats nor the effort being put in, All they are concerned is their vehicle should be attended the moment they get into the service station no matter what the situation for the others who have left their cars 2-3 days prior to get serviced

    - - - Merged Post - - -

Even after the other two service stations are open and they ease up the burden on Vecto. This blame game wont STOP and the other service stations also will join this BLAME bandwagon

Quick service bay ? I didn't see one, moreover my experience with Vecto is not that great till date, even when they knew i was a potential buyer of their show room piece ! With cheque book in hand !

On the contrary, Aadhya proved to be helpful, the sales person used his good offices to push for some repairs for my earlier car and the 3rd service was also accommodated. This attitude interested me and finally i decided to buy from them.
now the next service is due, need to see how it goes. However Aadhya failed to fix an error in my new car and Manickbag in Hubli was quick to get it resolved

i believe each person has likes and dislikes about the services received, it might take sometime for Fiat and their dealers to set things in order. Lets hope for the bEst in coming months.
