    Had my Linea service done on May 7th - (booked over phone on April 3rd week - appointment given was on May 7).

    After the service the drive is as new as it was the first day I got the car. Since it has completed 4 yrs, they have changed all the oils, first starting with the list of complaints I had

    1. Slight Squeeze noise when the windows are down and the clutch is fully pressed, noise continues until the clutch is released. Sometimes there is a double-step feeling while depressing the clutch
    2. Little more Engine sound inside the cabin
    3. Reduced AC cooling
    4. Straight line steering drive, slightly drags the vehicle towards the left
    5. non-linear acceleration - at constant speed, there is a sudden raise in acceleration and then deceleration (waiting for my OBD scanner)
    6. RH mirror change
    7. Sometime brake squeezing noise(slight) - when windows down
    8. Request for additional 1ltr of oil in a can - just to top up in long drives

    Estimate: 11.4k

    Now the things my drive got refreshed with
    Oils Changed:
    Power steering
    (Did I miss anything...)

    Others replaced:
    All 4 spark plugs
    Windshield wiper solution

    Wheel alignment and balancing
    RH mirror replacement
    AC pollen filter
    Oil filter
    Air filter
    Fuel filter


    Complaints attended:
    1. Clutch lubricated - now no noise and no double step(might have to check for a while)
    2. Cabin engine noise reduced (might be a placebo effect - need some long drive to confirm)
    3. Steering alignment fixed
    4. Since the spark plugs were weak, SA claimed that to be the issue for no-linear acceleration
    5. RH mirror fixed
    6. Brakes cleaned, so no sound now, might last for another 2k, so have not changed now
    7. Oil 1ltr provided (but not charged - possibly missed)

    Complaints still present:
    1. Non-linear acceleration still present (hope the OBD scanner will help)
    2. AC - no change in cooling

    Service center comments/Issues:
    1. Takes a lot of time to attend - given this feedback in their feedback form (rated 4/10)
    2. They can handle only 20 cars at a time
    3. No emergency bay or quick service bay, so anyone stranded and needs assistance in repair has to book an appointment doh.gif Saw a real case today, where one customer car was stranded near Kudlu gate and he was in the service center and asking if someone can attend and do the repair, as the car does not move. The first question the reception lady asked was - Do you have an appointment, without appointment we cannot do anything icon_lolno.gif . That guy blasted rapidfire.gif like anything and he was made to wait in the lounge for a while. Hope he got some assistance.
    4. SA called me before replacing the spark plugs and confirmed it, as he did not mention it while taking the issues list from me (10/10)
    5. Took 2 days to finish - left the car on 7th and got back on 8th evening( though collected it on 9th morning).
    6. They have fully automated exterior car cleaning/washing system and the boys wipe the car with Micro-fiber cloth
    7. The car was not properly cleaned inside, even the engine bay was not fully cleaned - unlike Concorde, which used to clean the interiors and engine bay well.

    Total paid: 9388/- (Materials 5.5k + labour 4k + Tax)
    There was a discount of 14xx/- not sure for what and why, the SA did not mention it, but I noticed back at home while going through the list of items.

    @rohit: Thank you Rohit. I called up and booked for June 3rd. On my request, I got assigned to Surendra :)

    @nkrishnap: There is some problem with the landline number - I could not make out what exactly the problem was, but the lady said there is some problem.

    Vecto motors are coming up with an Android app for service bookings and other additional activities, this is going help in a large scale.

    Yes Charan, they are indeed coming up with the app which in all probability go live by the end of this month. The app will have the following features.

    1. Booking a service on the convenient date. Something similar to the hotel bookings procedure.
    2. You can list out the list of items to be done during the service. Like listing out the minor complaints or additional work that might be required.
    3. The app will have a facility to provide you a reminder a day prior to the appointment date.
    4. You can see the service history of your vehicle.

    Had seen a demo of this app when I visited the service center for the 15k service.

    but the biggest game changer has to be how well it translates into efficient work flow and in resolving customer complaints.

    Agree with the efficient management of appointments and work scheduling. The app could give the service center an opportunity to plan the requirements in a better manner.

    However, resolving customer complaints will not be dependent on the app, as resolving issues would be dependednt on the skill sets, correct diagnosis, part availability and so many other parameters.

    Today i went to Vecto Motors to check my Punto's rattling issue and fix mudflaps which have worn out, no one to attend to deserted look security guy told if you have the booking just leave the car here and go they will take it..:confused: i told i have some issue with the car and have to get it checked he asked me to check in reception no body to attend to went and asked a service boy he refused to take my request and told no body will attend to vehicles here until it is booked, he asked me to call the call centre and fix up an appointment, then i went inside the service bay to check if somebody can help me, the SA refused and told they only take vehicles if its booked, i simply left from there without any further confront, Now i call the helpline she tells currently no bookings available and i have to check with her after 10th of June... :confused: I am not asking for a service or running repair why i have to get an appointment for this 5 minute job dont understand.. :evil:

    Surya, you should have tried to catch and talk to Mr Bassapa, Service Manager. I will PM you his number.
    I know they have one (or two) quick service bay and I believe they are for same small issues.
  10. Why can't SA or any one at the ASS help the customer,why a customer need to run high to get the work done ?
