Well, I believe he is the most experienced SA in the FIAT service. At times arrogance (or head weight) comes along with seniority :) I understand it's a trouble to handle pressure, but they need to practice patience. I have seen him fighting with the receptionists for allocating cars without prior appointment. Trust me, dealerships have hard time in finding mechanics and supervisors and so they hardly take stern actions on them other than verbal warning.
My experience with him during the 1st Free service @Prerana was very good. Post service, he has taken me for a TD and explained service work in detail. Personally I have seen him taking care of the cars very well. He yells at the mechanics if they drive the car carelessly into the service bay. One nice thing is, I have paid around 3 visits to Prerana and he remembers my vehicle color and registration detail :)

I just had my cousin get his 60K service and he has very bad news.
Just got off the phone with him and he says Vecto guys are still the same.
His experience with FASC was just as bad if not worse than TASS.

Its had been more than 1 week and Vecto motors is still keeping his car citing unavailability of parts (As usual). They are even "COMPLAINED" to him that there are many cars and as a customer he needs to understand there side of issues as well.
Finally my cousin lost his patience and took the manager for a ride, and guess what that solved the problem and he is getting his car now.

Vecto Motors :: This is what we signed up for??

Yes the parts are available or were made available but now the concern is whether the vecto guys were lying about parts or they did something else with the car and took 1 week to fix it thoroughly and give it back to him.

Besides the point, My cousin fought with the Manager just yesterday and even then the manager was saying that the parts are not available and that they would deliver it on Monday (29th April).
All of a sudden he called just about 1 hr ago and said that the car is ready for pickup.

Something doesn't add up , So i asked him to do a thorough PDI just to be safe. I will have more info once he's back. Lets wait and see.

I'm seriously confused about the supply chain. Somewhere I read that KHT is the stockist for FIAT spares in south India (or to Bangalore). Do the service centres order from these stockist or directly with the factory?

Previously I came to know that Prerana was the stockist for TATA. But now it's not the case with FIAT. Can some experts in the industry throw some light?

Guess the escalation worked to procure parts from co-dealers and the issue was fixed. By the way what part was it that was not available?

Prerana are the parts stockist for both TATA passenger and commercial vehicles. They never were stockists for Fiat. I am not aware of any FIAT stockist across India. The dealers place orders directly to the warehouse and it is delivered to the dealers. Its complete another thing that the dealer orders the parts in good numbers and stocks them.

Experienced or not, that is NOT the way one deals with customers. I did not go there to ask him for a personal favor. I did not ask him to donate money for some silly function. I saw him behaving properly when my brother gave him a dressing down for his behaviour. The dealer is setting a very bad example by having people like him.

I am surprised. I did not want him to touch my car after I saw him driving around cars in the workshop. Even when he did a TD of my car, he was simply being careless and was putting the car through bad potholes without any care - all the while blaming my car's suspension being weak - may be he wanted it to breakdown so that they can repair that too.

+1. The attitude and behavior of the SA should be pleasant towards the customer. The work load has got them for sure and FIAT is also to be blamed in this case.

They will need more soft skills training to ensure a consistent behavior is shown irrespective of the workload.
  10. Sham,
were you able to get more info as to what exactly happened with your cousin's car?
