After the servicing recently, My Linea developed a snag. For last few days it wasn't starting in the first crank and required 5-6 cranks to ignite. I reported this to Mr Shaktivel. As True Sai is about 350km from my place, he advised me to take it to RDC, Vellore as soon as possible. Two days later, the car refused to start. After multiple cranks, it started. I decided to check drive. It drove for abt 3km and then engine died. This was a panic situation. I parked the car on the road side and called Mr Shaktivel. He was very understanding and promised to get back in the morning as it was already late. In the morning, I reminded him before he has reached office. He told me he would address it as soon as he reached the center. At abt 11AM he gave me a call he told me that he was sending a mechanic all the way to Arakkonam from Salem. This is a unique gesture. Mechanic reached at 8 in the evening and started checking the 'under the hood' state. After two cranks he told me fuel pump wasn't running. This info had me sweating. He opened the fuel pump cover, underneath the rear bench. On selecting key 'Mar', there was no humming sound. He opened the fuse box under the steering column and checked. All fuses seemed normal. Then he opened the relay junction box next to battery and exchanged one with another and tried cranking. Behold! The engine was alive and my sweating disappeared. The relay was faulty. So he put the replay for Fog lights into the relay for fuel pump and we went for a test drive. Engine behaved for 6-7 km. Mahendra, the mechanic had spent 500 bucks for bus fare. I gave him a thousand to cater for his food. Mahendra called up Mr Shaktivel and reported success. Mr Shaktivel advised me to take the car to RDC ar earliest opportunity to do a OBD scan. Two days later, I drove down to RDC, Vellore. Not crowded at all. SA was outside. Accepted the car in no time. All relays were checked and faulty one was replaced. Complementary car wash was given and wash quality was very good. I was charged for replaced relay (Rs 328) and I drove back a happy and satisfied customer. In all this, I must congratulate The True Sai Motor and Mr Shaktivel in particular for putting the concern of customer ahead of everything else. Don't have much to comment abt RDC as much work wasn't involved. It could be a boon for people in closer areas as the ones in Chennai are choke-a-block. Double Thumbs Up to the True Sai Motors.
