We have fiat exclusive showroom and Service center at bhubaneshwar, odisha. The owner of the facility is also a member in our forum. Yesterday i went to pay a visit to the facility and so decided to do some small jobs in my fiat that i have saved for the exclusive fiat service center :-D.

I prepared myself for a photo shoot and i remembered to take my Nikon Coolpix out of its shell but i forgot to take it along with me :A:uh. So i managed to take some photos from my mobile. Also, Mr. Dev told that he had taken some pictures and will post it here for us.

The entrance to the showroom. The top floor you see is for JEEP :wow

The owner was also there and according to him the set up has not been formally inaugurated yet. About the owner, Mr. Dev Prakash Didwania, i should say he is very young and humble and at first i thought that he is also another fiat customer. But he seemed very aggressive in business which if FIAL shows in their marketing and business strategy they will be market leader. He was also very passionate about fiat cars and when we starting talking about fiat we were not talking like strangers meeting for the first time.

I would like to quote his statement: "I sell Volkswagen and TATA cars too but i have not seen the customers to be as passionate about their cars as the FIAT car owners".

One of the cars in his showroom caught my attention and sure it will do yours too. here is the pic

I won't go into details about this one but a word of caution " DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE";)

    And the service center photo:

Its not completely ready as per the Mr. Dev and they had to bring in customers as both the TATA ASS closed their FIAT operation. I liked the arrangement where all the service bay were in a line and they have left space for vehicle movements. Moreover, they have enough space for capacity expansion too and currently they have 3 service bays operational.

Now coming to the jobs that were being done on my car, I have identified 8 jobs and 5 out of 8 has been rectified that too within half-a-day (Two more cars were there along with mine). The list of jobs and the action taken were:

    1. Glow plug warming failure signal - repalced coils
    2. Ply in the back rest of the co-passenger seat - tightned.
    3. Driver side sun visor broken - could not replace as part was not available.
    4. bonnet opening lever not functioning properly - Replaced the lever
    5. Check number plate light signal - rectified.
    6. AC functioning - Checked the temperature at the vents, were only 16 deg c- due to non availability of time from my side postponed.
    7. Oil leakage from the underside near exhaust - rectified.
    8. Khat Khat sound from the front RH side door - door stopper to be replaced spare not available.

Apart from this the brake pads were replaced. The details of the brake pad replacement can be found here http://www.teamfiat.co.in/minor-issues-questions/6019-brake-pads-14.html#post196846

They also cleared the error messages from the ECU.

Overall a nice experience and i think it will get only better when the facility will be fully functional. As i said in some other post i can live happily here after in case of any problem with my car.

Also, Dev (pardon me i am dropping Mr.) told me that he is trying to contact other fiat owners for a small Odisha Fiat meet. :dance:clapping:wow

Many Congrats to Bharat Motorts and thanks to you for providing us this information.

BTW, I quotted your post here as above.

FIAT can't approve any modification unless approved by their design team prior it registered with RTO.

    Now Question:-
    1. Is this car registered with any owner ( or DEV). Then this modification is ok as I saw Punto plate infront of the car.
    2. Being optimistics, is this car is Punto T-Jet in disguise ;). Please elaborate your word of caution " DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE".

    Suman,

I said i don't want to go into details as honestly i don't know the details about that particular car. It was different and so i clicked the pictures and posted here. Now, Punto T-Jet that's a great idea buddy:D. May be fiat should consider it to increase the variants in their existing product portfolio when they have postponed the launch of new cars.

Here is the bill that i paid

Does glow plug not covered under warranty? I have to read the warranty manual.

Suman, hope you got the answer directly from the owner.

I checked with my extended warranty manual and it says the glow plug and glow plug timer is covered. But the guys in the SC charge me for that :punch as per the bill.
