  1. Krismask,
I too faced the same pulling issue with my Punto. I visited various service center to solve this problem but no one can able to solve it. But finally local mechanic gave a idea that pulling issue would be because of stock tyres. Goodyear stock tyres are the major problem in my case. I change all 4 tyres to bridgestone and left car for alignment and balancing. Now there is no pulling issue and steering response is awesome. so tyres play a vital role in pulling issue , have a look to it . just a piece of hint.

Guru Punto MJD , am running on GY Duraplus clocked about 6k. Vehicle on 9k on the odo. Initial 3K was on JK. Not sure if I can afford to change the tyres right away.... Wanted to try RDC this time and consider options further. Steering response is awful now :-(

I had the 3rd year/ 45k service done at rdc fiat ambattur,Chennai. Regret my decision to choose this place for the service. Totally unorganized chaotic environment. Top of that unskilled labor, not a person able to operate the obd scanner. Extra spice during invoicing. They will try bill you unperformed WURTH treatments worth 2.5k. The entire people in the premises are busy in shifting cars ,which is a funny sight. My total bill was 12.3k out of that labor is 5k. How on earth 1.5 hr work is billed in this rate?? Fiat u will not stay in this country with such dealers. All the best.

@ratheesh, its sad you had bitter experience. Though am able to understand on the billing part (billing for work not done happened to me as well in RDC) am surprised on the skill set of people there. I've always had good experience with technician's in both Ambattur and Ekkaduthangal. Standards are on the decline, am worried now

Krismask, their attrition rate is very high. All those good technicians are no were to be seen. Including SA all are new. Tamil is still there. Unfortunately he was on leave. The manager sits in his account cabin, conducts team meetings in between, lefts rest of the day's proceeding to Almighty !!

@ratheesh - Rs. 12.3 k for the regular service is unjustifiable. Can you post the split or upload the actual bill from them? I am curious to see what was cooked by them to inflate the bill.

I recently shot off an email to Fiat customer care about the service experience I had with RDC ambattur. Response from customer care is even more worse, they just forwarded my email to RDC and asked them to take care. Does anyone have any higher up contact info of Fiat India, that can help a bit here?

    Here is my original email,
I recently serviced my Punto with registration xxxxxxx and vin number xxxxxxxxx with RDC motors pvt Ltd Chennai at their Ambattur facility. This is not the first time I have had bad experience with them but due to lack of choice of any other service center near my residence I had to go with them.

There was noise coming from the engine area which I complained about and general service. Here are my problems dealing with incompetent service centers,

    1) I was told the noise is due to worn out timing chain and asked me to replace it, and I did as they told me. Bill was for 26,000Rs, but the noise remains. So why was I asked to spend 26k?

    2) Passenger side rear door actuator was changed and now we cant open the door from outside

    3) There was no problem with my trunk but after the service if I open my trunk it wont stay up

    4) Numerous electrical problems were mentioned for repair but not even one was rectified

    5) During rain water comes and stagnates under the driver seat, and they told me its a leak in A/C hose and they fixed it. But the problem is still there and water comes in

    6) My service bill is peppered with various unwarranted and unapproved charges, like
    a) Diagnosis through Fiat diagnostic tool = 675
    b) A/C disinfectant = 1300
    c) tyre check = 285

Who is going to take care off all these problems? Do you have a better service center? and who is going to be paying for all these?
I'll give you until December 2nd to respond back before I take this to other avenues until I am being fairly treated for my woes.

RDC fiat took my car on Tuesday December 8th in the promise of fixing all my problems and returning it on Friday or Saturday. I did not pick this date and I understand they're swamped with flood affected vehicles but for them to tell me no work has started on my car on Saturday evening and that too after I called was completely unacceptable!
I am following with emails to Fiat customer service again. Appreciate if someone can provide an individual's email address or phone number inside Fiat that I can write to directly..
    Thanks

But how on earth changing the timing chain can cost 26K? Going by the number of complaints in this forum, RDC should be a definite No-Go.

But even with others, I ll not believe in what the SA says, rather depend on the forums like this to make an informed decision. Also its better to be with the car when its getting repaired. ll avoid wasting time in followups.
