    Will be giving my car to RDC for second service tomorrow.

    From driv3r's posts I can see that they will either bill for 4L oil and return remaning or bill for 3.2 litres. In one 2nd service bill that was uploaded I can see no mention of wheel alignment charge. Are these guys doing wheel alignment FOC for second service, what about water wash?

    Also, will they be doing OBD scan in 2nd service?

    Guys, advice me on what to expect and what to do.

    second service is simple and will cost you around 6000 Rs.
    No OBD stuff will be done as far as I know.
    Ask them and make sure whether wheel alignment will be charged and also water wash.
    Opt out of brake cleaning if they ask you. Do it only if absolutely necessary. It will cost you around 800 bucks.
    Basically opt out of any extra thing if they ask you.

    2nd service is just change of oil and filters. So there should not be any worries.

    My 2nd service costed 5080 bucks if am not wrong. But prices seem to have increased a bit, I see that fuel filters are costing 2k plus now, so we can keep a 6k cap for second service.

    And BTW they didn't do any wheel alignment or balancing on my car as they just had the equipment and not the skill force then.

    sorry for all the trouble , we will take care of the issue once you come back after your wife' s delivery ,just relax and celebrate the arrival of the newborn while RDC team will take care of your car.

    why do you think so? I prefer it to be done whenever you visit workshop. I still don't understand why do they charge now, in the past TASS never charged for scanning.

    It will not be charged if you are doing under Free Service. It will be charged with the paid service.

    After the wait, my car is with me now.
    The suspension issue is fixed and now there is no noise.
    Struts,Coil spring and link rods were changed.
    Time taken to do the job 3 days. Gave the car to RDC on Wednesday and got the delivery on Friday.


    POSITIVES:
    Overall, the work done was good. My SA Anil explained all the things that were to be changed.
    Though the noise in the suspension was feeble, The drivability was affected a lot.
    I thought it would be tough for me explaining the issue to them but
    without even taking the car for TD the issue was found and agreed to be worked upon.
    All the parts were changed in warranty without any argument.
    I had asked them to do wheel rotation and that was done.
    Attention to detail was good. My coolant level was a bit low and I can see it topped up.
    Money paid from my pocket for all the above work is 0 INR :)


    NEGATIVES:
    Turnaround time was bad.I had to fix an appointment for finding out the issue.
    Parts were not available.Ordered them and fixed another appointment after 2 months.
    Call back was not given after the parts arrived. I had to confirm about the parts myself.


    3days taken to do the job. May be once they open one more SC this will be sorted out.


    Presentation-Though the car is not water washed, basic cleaning can be done.
    Car should not be delivered with grease finger prints in the interior panels.
    A cleaning person can be appointed specially to clean the cars in and out properly before delivery. A simple vaccum of the interiors will also be great.

    Thank you for your feed back , Since there is a overload there are some lapses as you have rightly mention once we have the ambattur facility everything will fall in track .

    Dear RDC , Quoting overload will not be good from Customer point of view. Right now vehicles are not being allowed without appointments... Even then if its not possible to handover the car in good/idle condition to the customers i.e. without any Greas stains in the interior , then its not Good from Customer point of View....Even in my car i.e. after 3rd Service , I could see some Grease stains in the interior... If this happens in your car , will you be accepting the same !!!!

    Car is with RDC for 2nd service. Left it yesterday and car will be delivered this evening. I expected the car to be delivered on the same day but looks like it's not the cause. I guess they are stocking cars so that each day they can do the maximum as at last minute people will fail to show up.

    I was attended to in about 15 minutes and SA was Tamizh. He was patient and through. I have a loose spring or stuff in the steering assembly and this is the only issue apart from regular service. Did not go for alignment and balancing as it's chargeable and I have done an alignment recently. I did not take the spare key with me when giving the vehicle for service, I sent the spare key through a guy and got the flip key back. (no fuss was made for accomodating this request) . I had a small doubt regarding blue and me and it was clarified by Tenzing.
