You can do upto 16k and I don't think Fiat will deny warranty because of that. I've already crossed 60k and my service is booked only next Tuesday. I did speak to someone at RDC and was told that this will not be an issue. I've seen Fiat generally a bit accommodating in warranty claims. So let's hope for the best.

I will PM my number to you….I can explain the problem…. Meanwhile….

    1. Jai and Jagdeesh have already taken a look at the vehicle. They have promised to correct the issue.
    2. My Insurance papers are also not processed; payment not received. It has been a week since I took my vehicle. As per Jai “All doc from his end is done!!”; As per Mubarrak from FG “document are not yet received”. I am caught in between.

I left my punto for Rust problem all over the car on 23rd April 2013 along with it other running repairs like my cooling coil is gone kaput which will be replaced in warranty.EGR and intercooler cleaning which was denied by Anil during my 30k service as he said it was not necessary, will be done now as Tensing found the car to be very noisy. Even there is a problem in the electric fan as it creates lots of vibration on the car.
And finally my seat rattling issue is still not fixed after 3 visits to them.

My car was personally invistigated and the Job Sheet was filled by Mr.Tensing as i told them clearly that Tensing needs to address my car personally as i have been coming to RDC again and again for the same issues.

I was promised delivery within a week but i kept on calling and getting the updates from Mr Domnic (Body shop SA) and on 27th April he said that the painting work will be completed today and my car is in Paint Booth already for painting. I visited RDC on 30th April to check how the paint work has been done on the car to my shocking surprise i could still see the car with Primer and Sanding completed on the car and painting not started yet.

I immediately started blasting the SA and few other guys at RDC for providing me the wrong updates then one Gentlemen came and apologized for the mistake done by the SA. I told them very clearly not to give wrong information to the customer and asked them to tell the truth if the work has not started tell it is not started and request for more time instead of providing the wrong updates.

And today 4th May i again visited RDC in the morning as Dhans wanted to leave his car for 2nd service. Only today the car was in the paint booth and the painting work at started in the morning.

I again visited them in the evening and the painting has been completed and the car was brought out by Tensing and it was parked on the ramp. Tensing has assured me that he will deliver the car after the running repairs are completed by Wednesday 8th May.

I am honestly telling if Mr Tensing wouldnt have been there then i would have never visited and will never visit RDC again. I find that he is the only person there who is ready to ask aplogise for the mistake done by RDC.

RDC should still improve a lot if they need to get good name from customers. I had got very much positive feedback from my friends about ARASPVPV in Madurai, True Sai in Salem and Vecto in Bangalore. If RDC are not going to improve then i am not goona hesitate to drive my car to any of these three locations for service henceforth.

Now the car is under supervision of Tensing and they are still fixing up the issues i had given them. Hopefully will get the car next week.

Finally, the other members are feeling the shoddiness from RDC.

I was one of the first ones to face this. As I have visited them like 20 times with both cars. Nobody is bothered. I am still sticking to what I said and am not visiting RDC again. Waiting for Ramkay.

I was told stories from top level management themselves. I do not want to name him here but he told me that the EGR and intercooler should be cleaned next, and after and hour or so it changed like we already did it yesterday. I was shocked. But didn't post this incident here as I was already writing negative about RDC much.

The difference between the TASC and FASS is that TASCs fiat divn grew from infancy of FIATs third innings. So they were able to systematically anticipate (to an extent ) the service reqmts. But for the newcomers like FASS, it has been a case of upto the throat from day one and all personell and infrastructures are strained. It requires extreme understanding and guidance by the top management to really chalk out a programme to see through this chaotic situation. I guess it wont be a bad idea from FIAT to have more FAS centres only without obligation to have a dealership atleast in the metros where there were about three dealers initially . That will give a competition to do the job well.

Do we have anything in writing to confirm this? Pls see my post (http://www.teamfiat.co.in/service-c...-exclusive-rdc-fiat-chennai-5.html#post168637).
To add salt to the wounds, when I questioned some of the labour charges during the 2nd (free) service they tried to pass it off by saying 'because you crossed your warranty mileage (I'd done 15,700 Kms) you are being charged' - I blew my top as I'd
    a) told them this at the time of booking that I'll be crossing 15 K Kms and was 'told' it is OK
    b) I'd raised tickets in BOTH RDC site and FIAT site regarding this issue.

The CSR then rushed in and said that there would be no problem with warranty!

Imagine a situation 1 year down the line (extended warranty) - some thing major happens and the company denies warranty claim because I did my 2nd servicing at 15,700 rather than 15,000 Kms. I'd lose in a court of law because I have no confirmation of this.

Anyways thanks Vinoo for promising to take this up with your principals. In case you want a collective shout from the owner community, I'm sure TeamFitatians willl be glad to do that!

I am too facing some issues with the service. Have dropped my vehicle for the following:
    1. GC upgrade
    2. Seat height adjustor issue. Need a full replacement as the angle of the lever is bad.
    3. Fuel lid issue.

Heard from Mr. Tensingh that 2 and 3 are not part of warranty. Contemplating an escalation as I just have a feeling that both are covered as part of warranty. Can TFI folks confirm this before I step my pedal.
