I am not denying the additional service + convenience factor to the customer, but not at a additional cost to the customer.

Is it that the premium quote got directly from the insurance provider is matched at the service center too? I am very skeptical about it. Which other insurance providers is RDC tied up with.

I am not liking this. Kick Fiat for bringing us into this condition. Thank God that Fiats didnt sell as per plan, as it would have been a bigger mess.

I can plan my scheduled service based on average running but what about running repairs ? Recently the bulb failure warning lights came on and I found it was the rear brake light. I called RDC and sadly noted that they said no stock of the twin filament bulb. This bulb I bought from a shop in kilpauk who sells oils mainly. Even they are anticipating sales of such petty spares. It cost me Rs.10/-. I am learning how to handle things myself as I was told that they are very strict on taking in vehicles without booking. Even hospitals have ERs and a service centre is a hospital for cars..Many spares are available outside and we can visit the FASS to ensure warranty.

Well, I am out of warranty and can choose to do what i want .This is the option if they dont scale up asap. Personally I would like to have my service at FASS only, but as you know circumstances can force course corrections,. I remember predicting this exact situation of service getting funnelled into one centre almost six months before RDC began.

re: FIAT Exclusive Service Center: RDC Fiat, Chennai

We were able to do normal servicing without much of hassles in TASS. What we missed was prompt response for running repairs.

Now its worse with RDC. Normal servicing takes more than a day and running repairs are not fixed at all. No spares word still haunts me. I have visited RDC twice and yet to get a call back for arrival of spares for my suspension noise issue.
I dont want to give them a call looking at the situation. I have learnt to live with the minor issues in my car. As Abdul said,
I think I have to find places to fix the minor issues and visit FASS just for normal servicing. Not even changing brake pads or wiper blades.

I gave my bike for servicing last weekend as it became totally immobile, and all the spares were available from chain sprocket kit to suspension bushes etc and the bike was delivered the same day. I was so happy because stupid me thought the bike will be with them for a week:D FIAT effect

With 10k kms more for my 30k service, wish RDC scales up and brings a process in place.

    tasting the Italian delight!

Well, yeah can't blame RDC completely here. The problem is now odo stands at 59920 so don't have much of KM's before I'll run over the 60K limit to retain the extended warranty. Good news is that GTX can do the duty else I'll be stuck without a car!

re: FIAT Exclusive Service Center: RDC Fiat, Chennai

Thanks to teky's post on slot availability, I called up RDC n booked mine for 4th June!

But my car has just crossed 14K and there is a month to go for service! Given my average monthly running of 2k, I guess I should now start restricting my car's running!

    Hoping for better times!
Wonder what will happen to Jeep servicing once Fiat launches the brand here :D

I will be hitting 15k soon and I booked one for 13th June. (Thats the earliest they can do)

Should I take the car to service at around 15k or can I do 16/17k

Stick to 15k itself as more than 200km from 15k point may result in warranty being denied. Please check with RDC on this and get your vehicle serviced before 15200km

    Gurus can advice better.

I would advice if a written communication can be obtained from RDC, it would be best. This position of house full service centers are a creation of FIAT and it is best if RDC comes forward to guard vehicles in such a dilemma . Penalizing vehicles who couldn't have their vehicles serviced on time for reasons beyond their control is not ideal. Vinus thought on this post would be appreciated and FIAT should issue a clarification in this regard due to the national situation that has arisen , primarily because of the TATA FIAT divorce. Such a gesture would be perfectly in order and soothe the already tolerating customers
