Agree with you DRIV3R. Ramkay too would turn out to be like any other FASS. The problem is these guys never want to train SAs in identifying root cause , but just fix the obvious and get rid of the car and eventually customer :hit

I have had 3 claims in the past one year with FG. All of them honored, while i was only required to pay the compulsory deductible for each of them. I do not find anything wrong with the company. Though for my last claim at RDC, i had to settle them in full and claim a refund from the company. Even in this case, i had to bear the cost of compulsory deductible and nothing else.

My insurance is up for renewal and I intend staying with FG.

I had to visit RDC only because of a claim I had on the car. I don't think i will ever be visiting them again, going by the posts i see. The ARAS PVPV guys in madurai do a good job and this guy vishnu(he owns the place), takes personal care of our vehicles. You can just walk up to his cabin and have a quick word.
They've recently taken Fiat Deaership (they have dealership of almost all big(read volume brands) down south and have a fully functional service set up already (where TATA Cars are being serviced) and soon there will be a seperate onefor FIATs too.

Thanks Ravi, my hope is that it will be smooth.
I will check your point again with RDC. But I have ended up paying the full workshop bill; I will be getting the refund later.

Finally I got the vehicle delivered on the promised date and time!! The paint job on the rear bumper was pretty good.
    But the big shock!!

    1. There were 8 to 10 scratches on the front bumper. Few big ones.
    2. The right fog lamp cover (silver color) has bad scratches, mis-alignment in fitting. I also think it has been replace with an old cover!!
    3. Front bonnet not opening properly. Overall it looks like someone has bumped it against the wall; I could not find any alignment issues.
I got no answers for anything above… I was only promised that all the above will be rectified!!.... I had very urgent work in office… did not have the time to keep dragging this with the RDC folks… also it was very upsetting and totally hopeless (cursing myself for getting into Fiat inspite of knowing the service problems)
I have 2[SUP]nd [/SUP]service appointment with RDC on 29-May. But with this experience; I would rather go to Bangalore, Salem or Trichy for the service. or is Concorde or Tafe taking service requests?!!

    Can you please clarify clearly?

You mean to say that regardless of the policy bought through the dealership, one can avail the cashless facility?
Also, what are the other companies (apart from FG) for which RDC has tie-up?

Ramesh, Can we recall the ordeal that our tfian cuty red went through with his policy with FG and how many among us had resolved to never touch FG even with a barge pole. With these cashless lollipop, RDC is trying to trap fiatians into FG. I am sure that all Insurance companies have good rapport with every service centre as it is part of their job, and insurance companies will be wary of service centres that milk them, and more happy with SCs that are genuine. That is how insurance companies assess SCs. Any talk of favoritism is just a myth.

You are absolutely right Abdul. I neither recommend FG to anyone nor I have taken insurance from them. I asked for a clear clarification on the issue reported by Naveen (see below). And also wanted to know about other companies whom they have tie-up.

They give a separate Invoice for Labour charges as a consolidated one and I asked for the break up (which I posted). Even I thought that Labour charges are free in 2nd free service but they claimed that it was free for the routine stuff and:
    (a) They charged labour only for the NON-routine items such as brake pad/disk change/ wheel alignment
    (b) to answer Ramjn - they said NO - wheel alignment was NOT covered under free service - As it was Rs.450/- only I didn't pursue, BUT
    (c) They charged 1500 for changing Brake pad/disk - which I did feel was very High!
    (d) They charged Rs.180 for changing consumables (!)- which again is not high - but WHY?

You are welcome Vinoth! Hopefully these are all teething problems. Considering the volume of vehicles you are getting, I'm sure ROI is not a concern and you can very well expand. All we want is to proudly say "I OWN A FIAT" and there are ABSOLUTELY NO After Sales Service issues now!m
