Well if RDC is self inflicting this then I am pretty sure they are going to tie themselves in knots. My point was not that Fiat would give specific targets, it was just that Fiat might gently nudged them to increase their output since there is no other service station around and we can't give the vehicle to TASS as well. After all Fiat is investing a lot in this and its their reputation at stake as well.

Same feedback from one of my friends who was trying so hard to book the Punto, no follow up from the sales guys. He waited for a month and then decided to book another vehicle, he decided that if the sales is so bad he could imagine how bad the service would be.

I am still waiting for my car cover which was promised by Mr. Fazil, it been more than 2 years now.

This was exactly what I was expecting to happen with the number of cars they take a day. Its not just the exit, even in the service bays they really don't have any place to maneuver.

Sratching one car is bad, they say they do one a day  thats just not acceptable.

Man, this is insane. :D He is the same guy who manipulated Fiat stock from the monthly float which every dealer receives from the plant. He says that that particular car is not available in the float just because he was hoping to make a sale somewhere else. I cross checked with another dealer and was furious when I came to know he was bluffing. Dropped a strong enough email soon enough and he called to give me a cock and bull story.

He is the same guy who created politics and delayed the booking of my 90HP too. Though I had paid a lakh in advance and ten days passed by, the car was still not billed to the dealer. The true Sai sales manager openly told me the fact that the said person is creating politics as the availability of this 90HP was told to me by a sales guy from VST who sold me the 75HP. It's a long story and it's material for my ownership thread. :D

I have my own story and my friend pdranjith's purchase experience with him. He is totally an unethical and unprofessional guy. That is the reason why I told that a person's attitude cannot be changed.

God save Fiat and RDC in Chennai.

I was disappointed this morning when I observed that even the minor issues where not even attended to.

Almost all items on the job card except 2 of a total of 8 are still open. I expressed my dissatisfaction to Sravan, Jp. Mr JP then came to my rescue and saw the tangible pending issues. He then assigned Suresh for a TD with me.

We set on and he coolly asks me, sir, what's the issue, I tell him and he drives a distance and asks if I need to drive, I ask what's the point? He then says everything is normal. Oh really? Are you freaking kidding me? Do you know what am talking about? Do you know what a turbo kick is? He says no sir, you can td other cars and check if you want? I don't have the necessity to, I have been driving this car for 14k kms and I know enough plus there was a leak from the intercooler twice, which was brushed off by vst as nothing. "epadi vaai koosama normal nu solreenga, naal fulla indha vandiya dhana paakuringa" if you feel it's normal please return the vehicle and do me a favor by not wasting my time. I will fix it at Vecto motors, bangalore as I am driving there tomorrow. He keeps mum and drives, after some time accepts that the pickup is poor and no turbo kick, he even tried revving to 5k rpm in neutral and then giving it a run. No change. He also noted that the steering wobble is still there. Went back there and the car is back at RDC, they are asking time till tomorrow evening to fix the issues. I had no other option and since Mr JP himself told he would take care and he would put the car immediately on the floor as he may need to remove the turbo even. I said okay and moved on. Man, every alternate day am using public transport, ah, the joys of owning a Fiat.

BTW, a little birdie told me that some of them from TAFE are not at all happy with the state of affairs there and are planning to quit or join the soon opening competitor.

+100 to all the guys who had thing for this guy Fazil. Even i was promised of refund of 5k since he had billed the car at the wrong value than agreed but it been more than 18months now no refund at all. Atlast directly spoke to the VST family (our distant relatives) and immediately got accesories worth 15k instead of 5k.

This is a normal TALLY generated invoice. May be still not invested in fiat standard billing software.

In that case I have to look at options of getting vehicle from a different city in TN, May be Salem or CBE.

If you are waiting for a newer car from Fiat, then you need not worry about going to a different city. By the time a new product comes, we will see more dealerships in Chennai itself (in another 1/2 years). :)

re: FIAT Exclusive Service Center: RDC Fiat, Chennai

I was there at RDC from Saturday morning till evening. Met naveen2cool, and also saw Sathya_sc who had come to change the badges of his T Jet. Didn't get a chance to interact though.
With regards to my car, it is still at RDC.

Brake discs and pads, the rear hatch door struts are changed. Steering wobble has gone now. The other problem is still there. There is a leak/fault in the turbo system somewhere. After a long TD with Tensingh, RDC has finally accepted that there is a fault. Tensingh has accepted to sit with my car for a day and check the whole system. During the td, funny thing happened. Tensingh was about to give me an excuse for the missing turbo kick by saying this is a VGT. Only after I told him, it dawned on him that he is driving a 75HP with a FGT and agreed that the turbo kick is absent totally in any gear and throttle position.

Other symptoms were oil leaks twice from the intercooler long back, and Tensingh says there was a oil leak elsewhere near the oil separator too. Add loss of power and FE to this. Something is really screwed up under the hood. Keeping fingers crossed for RDC to diagnose right.
