Got the car back last evening around 4 PM.

Overall good job with the service.
Body shop has done a fair job. I'm able to see some spots on the paint on the running board. But the colours match, so I'm ok with that.
all minor niggles like door rattling fixed.
Absolut Mudflaps available and they've fixed them as told.

    I've quite a few here.
Not sure what engine oil they have filled. They claim its selenia, but never gave the can.
Brake oil 1 litre....I wonder where the rest went!!!
I had to pay for the insurance claim as well and then they will get it reimbursed for me from FG. I agreed to it, as i was in a hurry too.
They say they're yet to get the cash less claim facility for FG.
Mosquitoes, as told by all, was a problem in my car too, but got rid of them last evening itself.
Total Service Bill is 15K, i'm yet to study the bill.

Punto Maniac, they have Selenia WR 5W40 barrels. But then you have to make sure that they bill you only for 3.2/3.5 litres.

I got my car now. Average work by body shop. Anyone with a keen eye can make out the area worked upon. It's that obvious. In comparison Bosch Vadapalani did an awesome job with the finish on the other car.

Coming to service, thanks to Tensingh, the reported niggles have been solved and are yet to resurface.

RDC badly needs more space. The current place is small and is a chaos.

Also I noticed almost a truck load of steel rims (easily be about 50 sets), being moved in. I enquired with Mr. Williams, a Service Manager at RDC, if there has been any advisory from Fiat to replace the steel rims. He only took less than a second to respond with a huge "No" and that it was a regular procurement they have done.

I wonder, when do they anticipate to sell all those wheels. Does :anyone remember seeing or coming across any advisory from Fiat??

Found the fluid capacities page in the owner's handbook. This says Hydraulic Brake fluid capacity is .5KG for ABS versions. How much would it be in terms of volume? IMHO the box can't hold more than 400 ml max. So why would RDC bill me for a litre? Fluid Levels.JPG

DRIV3R what about the claim you had. Did they do the job FOC or try fleece money from you for their mistake?

    Punto Maniac,

It has to be a regular procurement. RDC had promised to store enough number of spares.
There is no harm in storing 50 sets of steel rims. I wish they continue this.

Also RDC have fixed a non reported issue. The Glove Box lock in my car was jammed, and I had given up too on that, after my initial hiccups and completely forgot to mention that. But the service team at RDC have promptly fixed that and the lock operating very smoothly.

Thats 200 steel rims naveen, when do they plan to sell all of it? Even if anyone wants to change it, they'll obviously opt for aftermarket alloys as first choice. Selling 200 OEM steel rims, will be a tough task on any delaer.

That's True. I think they might have been collected from Ex-Dealers :-D

It is the one wheel requirements that they may be looking at. When one wheel is damaged and needs change, not many would be thinking of alloys unless one is an enthusiast who is waiting for a reason to switch.:)

many accident vehicles which come to RDC for fixing might consume these rims

It was FOC buddy. If I were paying for it, would have brought the roof down for the quality of work. Still, there are paint over sprays on many parts of the car like the hood, RVM. I specifically told Jaishankar to mask the car properly, but well!

EDIT: And with regards to your glovebox problem, what I have noticed is that attention to detail is very good at least when the SA is AbinAshok. In my case, it was the alignment of the gear knob. Full marks to him on this aspect.
