    Sat, maybe the quality of work is dealer dependent. At Ramkay, they apply the sealant before painting.

    It was given by FIAT to people who attended the meet organised by them.

    Ya Fiatian what you mean to say is they used clearcoat before paint?....if thats the case i dont understand the reason behind that

    Clearcoat? Now where did I mention that?

    Sealant is used for sealing the edges of the door where the two sheets of metal meet. You see a rubbery substance there. Hope you get it now.

    I had been to Ramkay Fiat to fix couple of issues with my Punto and had a very good experience. I called up at 10 in the morning to fix and appointment and was asked to come in at the same day. I reached Ramkay Fiat at around 12.00, the approach road seems to have improved a lot. Although the other approach road just before the toll after V3 Hyundai isn't in a great shape. I was attended immediately and made sit in the Customer lounge, I was assigned SA Gopi who was very courteous throughout the day. Job card was made immediately and the SA heard all the complaints patiently and noted them duly. He also checked the car for what's in their and told me what was missing.

    The car was moved to Service bays immediately and the work started in a jiffy. Works done were replacing the Bonnet Lock and Cable, Headlights, Fitting absolute mud flaps and removing the engine guard bend. Work was completed by 4.30 in the evening which includes the lunch break which was close to one hour. All fluids were topped up without even being asked to do so. Post that there was a Final inspection by someone else who pointed out number of other things which I didn't complain at all about and asked the technician and SA to fix it before delivery. I was surprised at the focus on quality by Ramkay, never had such an experience in other Tata/Fiat SC's so far.

    They are also very well stocked for spare parts which included a rubber bush which protects the bonnet when dropping, never imagined such a part to be in stock that too Fiat. The Spare parts area is very large as well and hence I think they should have everything and anything. Also each of the employee around the SC had a warm smile and eager to help which seems to be 100% contrast from the Tata SC's. With Ramkay Fiat I can confidently say that I've the best car to drive and best service center to look after, so if you're reading this and sitting on the fence to buy a Fiat don't think any further if you're in Chennai. I can assure you that that these guys are absolutely focused and will anything to make you happy.

    I also dropped a note to Fiat and Mangesh to appreciate this fact, I hope they retain the Final Inspection work and implement it in other SC's it should do wonders.

    Ramkay is strong in 4 areas in contrast to the other Fiat dealer in town.

    *Availability of spare parts
    *Customer service/Hospitality
    *Large facility. 20 bays for service with lifts, 4 bays for washing/vacuuming, dedicated body shop and good customer lounge all within same facility

    When I say customer service, it implicitly means many things including ethics. I was overcharged by around 300 bucks due to an error from Fiat's side way back when I migrated to pre 2012 suspension. I was refunded this when I did my service last week, now how cool is that? Others would be least bothered to help satisfy a customer. :)

    My Punto got 30,000 kms service done by Ramkay Fiat yesterday. I'm very happy with the work done by them.

    As DRIV3R said, they need to keep up the following, Stocking Spares and Customer Service.
