Ha Ha. But, I need the Linea GC Kit, Abdul. :)

It looks like we always have to escalate to get the things done for Fiat. Same with RDC and now Ramkay going the same way. It is becoming a Fiat culture now a days. You should have contacts at both dealer and at the manufacturer level to maintain a Fiat car. :A

Ramesh dont under estimate RDC. I feel RDC is better than Ramkay in few things and if we have some good rapport with the SA's then our job is done without any pain.

Even i called up Ramkay to enquire about Fog Lamp's cover's. I spoke for half hour still that lady couldnt figure out what i was speaking about. Dont know if she had ever seen a fog lamp. I said a big thank you to her and hung up. I realised no use to talk with her.

This is what happen's when 2wheeler guys are told to manage for 4wheeler's. A big thumbs down to ramkay. Most of them who are present in ramkay are moved from TVS.

This is a real problem for Fiat, Bharath. I hate the Rapport part. You and I may have contacts and we may get the things done. What about the plight of regular customers?

Edit:- Calling Ramkay one last time. Let me see what happens.

The GC enhancement kit is reportedly available at Ramkay FIAT. Just now, I got it confirmed from Sukanya, CRM, Ramkay FIAT. I have given your number. She assured me that she would contact you.

this is the reason i don't rely on receptionists and even SA's when I need information about any spare part. i call up the person sitting at spares counter directly and ask him to check in the system! if the part is not available then i ask which all nearby SCs it is available. they happily tell.

Re: FIAT Exclusive Service Center: Ramkay Fiat, Chennai

Lets not be biased. :) Ramkay is better in few aspects and so is RDC. It is upto the customer to decide.

It's a bit overboard to expect a receptionist whose core job is to maintain healthy communication with the customers, to know something technical. Am sure even RDC receptionist would draw a blank when you describe the same. No offense bro.

If I were the receptionist, frankly I cant make out what a fog lamp cover is. Correct usage would be fog lamp shroud, incase you were asking for the front fogs. For all we know, no receptionist would know if the GP has both front and back fog lamps.

And most of them moved from TVS? Is it a genuine piece of information? And are we talking sales or service? AFAIK most are from MASS and TASS for service.

I agree Sai. I don't expect the receptionist to be knowledgable to answer my queries. I am annoyed because she couldn't get some one to talk with me in these 2 days even after calling 4-5 times.

Re: FIAT Exclusive Service Center: Ramkay Fiat, Chennai

This I expected in my case and hence my call log reads the following in chronological order.

    Call to SA
    Call to Ramkay receptionist
    Call from SA
    Call from SA again

My call to SA was a courtesy call to remind him, while the same to receptionist was just because she would take care of nagging and following up with the SA and I can just wait for a call back. :D

    Is it so?

I am getting calls and the mobile network is also good. And I did not get any message too. Are they trying a wrong number?
  10. Barath, why did you try to explain the receptionist about the Fog Lamp cover. Instead You could have asked her to connect your call to the spares. In case they don't have such facility, you could have visited the workshop. I would not be surprised if she couldn't figure out even after you explained for half-a-day.

And the Rapport part, I hate doing it. If that is the only requirement for the service guys to do their job then it is a mass thumbs down for them and I don't support encouraging the rapport building by customer. It is supposed to be done by the Service Center guys to identify the real problem and not the Customer. I have never been to RDC but if a Customer needs to Build a good rapport with the SC guys to get the job done then RDC fails miserably in The Basics.

If you judge ramkay from what they were doing earlier, then I think even FIAT should get a Big Thumbs Down for what they have been in the past. They are just a month old, they impressed everybody with their spacious workshop and a premium showroom. I have a hope they will get better in the service too.
