Completed three months and also 2200 Kms on ODO. Did my first servicing in Pandit Auto, Pune.

    Problems Reported
    1. Rear suspension noise. Loud metal clinking noise when going over speed breakers / pot holes
    2. One minor rattle coming from front LH door
    3. Some rattle noise from behind
    4. Rear parcel tray bent. It has become bit curved for some reasons.
    5. Alignment check and adjust
    6. I felt that there is something wrong in the clutch. When the clutch is depressed around 70-75% the car moves ahead with out pressing the accelerator. I think the car should move ahead only after clutch is depresses 100% and only after pressing the accelerator. Told to check
    7. By mistake while inserting the perfume, one of its plastic part had fallen inside the AC vent, had asked to remove

Advisor told me it will take two days as they need to remove the rear suspension and check, this is not part of regular first service. I said ok, but just solve the problem.

    Day 2.Post Service Report.
    Problem #1: Partially resolved, happy.
Advisor told me that suspension was checked, all the nut bolts were tightened. Took test drive with the mechanic. I went over speed breakers and pot holes but the noise wasnt coming.I'm happy at problem being resolved. But at home during taking a sharp turn went over a hump, same metal noise appeared but this time bit muffled. But the intensity of noise is reduced and does not appear frequent. Now it appears only during specific conditions - while taking sharp turn and going over hump. 70% problem resolved. Will deal with it later as its not bothering me now.

    Problem #2 & #3: Resolved, happy.

Problem #4: Rear parcel tray available in stock, replaced in warranty. No questions asked. Rattles gone, happy.

Problem #5: Alignment checked and corrected. No amount chared, I repeat nothing charged. Initially the advisor had said that it would cost 350, but I showed the coupons, he said its fine no questions asked.

Problem #6: The clutch was bled and air was removed. Clutch assembly was checked.
Again its the same, when the clutch is depressed 70-75% car moves ahead. Advisor said its not a problem and said I can take TD of a new car to check. I will do it over this week end. I'm not sure of this, any comments on this?? Is the clutch functioning alright?

Problem #7: The AC vent assembly was removed and foreign plastic part removed, happy.

All oil levels were checked, no oil top up required.

    Total cost: 0 Rs. Happy.

Overall I can say that the experience was good (may be v. good) and advisor was really helpful in attending the problems. I would say that your experience would differ on the advisor you would be getting. I was lucky to get this chap.

Compared to the sufferings at sales experience, I had a pleasant experience during my first service.

    Good job FIAT !!!

Point # 6: It is normal that the car will roll before 100% clutch-release . I never place my foot on gas pedal in 1st gear. It is very helpful in B2B traffic and on slopes.

    Pleasant Experience at Pandit Auto

As you know, I was consitently having problems with the driver side power window of my car. B U Bhandari was not able to fix it and instead they give me "khat khat khat" sounds from the door in return !!

So (unwillingly I may add) I decided to take the car to Pandit Auto. I had read Maverickxx2006's good review of Pandit Auto SC and was hoping for the same. maverickxx2006 had also PM'ed me the the service advisor's name.

Today morning I reached Pandit Auto at 8.30 am to fix the following two problems
    1. Driver side power window not working
    2. Loud KHAT KHAT KHAT sound while opening the door.

I was attended by the service advisor named Babar at 8.45 am. He took down the list of problems and informed that the car will be ready by afternoon.

I got a call at 2 pm that the car was ready. I walked to Pandit Auto (Yes, I stay that close). Went to meet Babar and he explained me what they had done. He told me that whoever had done the earlier job of the power window (BUB) had completely messed up the wiring. He also informed me that the door fitting was not done properly (I had a sense this was the case because the thud had vanished). So basically what Pandit did was, remove the door, redo the entire power window wiring and refit the door.

I checked the car : power window works fine, khat khat khat sound has vanished and the thud is back !! ::T

The car was washed and polished from inside. Alloys were sparkling clean.

I paid Rs.350/- for the work and walked out as a happy customer.

As of now : 5 stars to Pandit Auto

I hope the good trend continues.

    Re: Pandit Auto, Pune

Since I work in Pune, I will probably have to service my car here. I wasn't very satisfied with the service provided by B U Bhandari for my 3000 km service. But, since my office is located at Hinjewadi, it is very convenient for me.

What I want to know is whether Pandit Auto has a pick up/drop service either for the car, or for me.

every car will move ahead with 70% clutch depressed. thats the way it should work. so dont bother about it at all. its perfectly normal.

this is a very positive news about pandit and fiat. they are improving multifolds.

    Re: Pandit Auto, Pune

I did some cosmetic changes at Pandit's Sahakar Nagar service center to my Punto (scraping correction, scratches removal etc.) with a total bill of Rs. 6509/- which I paid from my own pocket and did not use the insurance cover. I found the experience satisfactory. I am planning to leave my car for second servicing in Jan again.

    Re: Pandit Auto, Pune

I agree the Pandit's service is good with respect to the engine problem.

But I faced several following issues with Pandit Service:
    1. The Cigar Lighter was stolen.
    2. Some coins (Chillar) around 40-50 rupees in ash tray bos stolen.
    3. The rear tray was always in bend without the hanging strings.
    4. I fitted the seat covers in Pandit but right form beggining the covers are in haphazard manner.
    5. the cleaning and washing (external / internal) is very very poor.
they are not checking the car before the delivery.

Re: Pandit Auto, Akurdi Phata, Pune

All right! Now its my turn to write about Pandit Auto, Akurdi Phata, Pune. Why at Akurdi? Cause Tilak road center was full untill 31st. Jan. and the lady on phone hung up on me after keeping me on hold to check if they can still service my car when it crosses the due date by 4-5 days.

Anyways, I dropped my car with Pandit at 9:00AM sharp on 25th Jan. for regular 2nd service as my car completed 1 year on 26th Jan. It has done some 3.5K KM's on the ODO and needed no extra things to be checked/changed apart from regular oil change and filter's change. SA gave me an estimate of Rs.5.6K for the same and said I can collect my car in the evening. I had specifically asked him if my car qualifies for AC upgrade/change and he said its not. At 4PM on the same day SA called me up to inform me that they will be replacing AC kit, worth Rs. 35K, under warranty and will need some more time as its a time consuming work. I agreed. He then told me that he will deliver my car by 4:00PM on 27th as 26th being a holiday for them. I agreed.

I called the SA 5mins back to check the status and he informed me that the car is not ready and they are still working on it. He said he will deliver it by 5:00PM tomorrow. :firey

I'm taking OFF tomorrow and go early morning to the service center and sit there till I get my car back.

With this primary experience I would give a :thumbs down to Pandit Auto.

C'mon mine is not the first car these guys are servicing. By now they should atleast know how much time a car takes for 2nd service.
:eek:fftopic I have no idea what kind of 'marathi language' the assigned SA speaks. I could understand only 25% of what he speaks, over phone as well as face to face!! :uh
