I have recently relocated from Chennai to Kumbakonam on retirement. The nearest service centre is either the one at Puducherry or the recently (almost four months old) opened Marvel FIAT at Ariyamangalam, Trichy. A decent set up which caters for the needs of FIAT users of Delta districts. I had visited the service centre thrice. Once for replacement of wheel shroud, next time for 45000 kms servicing(in first week of Sep 14) and third time for rectification of the servicing done. Every time I thought it is a new set up and will improve its facilities and services. Somehow it is poor. Some of them are; You have to pay in Cash only. No card (credit/debit) payment system available. The GM of the set up says that they had approached a particular private bank to install card swiping machines but it seems that no one followed it up. Mind you the nearest ATM is almost a Kilometer away. The split seats of Punto released during servicing but not locked back. This I realised after reaching Thanjavur (approx 50 kms from Trichy) on going off the Toll road when I heard continuous noise from rear seats. Poor QC. The wheels are not rotated after balancing in spite of request made to SA. The alignment carried out as per previous position of wheels. Severe vibrations in steering column and vehicle pulling to left. Reason quoted for not carrying out wheel rotation, the wear of the tyres are even. I had to go back to service centre to rectify this. When the tyres are rotated the reported problems disappeared. The SERVICE in the MFD not reset during servicing. So when ever I start my car, I get Service expired warning. This continued for next 200 kms. The service line is not organised well. When one activity is completed, for the next activity the car has to wait although nothing is in queue. The list may be too long. Mainly due to indifferent attitude. The bad news is that they are opening outlets in Thanjavur and Nagapattinam also. Instead of spreading its wings wide, they should improve the quality, time management correct the attitude

Sad to know about the issues you faced with the dealer/workshop. I could related to many of the issues myself during my interaction with the Fiat workshop. Does the workshop have any means of obtaining customer feedback? Did you provide it if available? Suggest you to drop a mail to Fiat India listing all the issues you faced. I am sure Fiat will respond positively to the mail.

    Hello sir.

I think Fiat are working hard to improve the performance and processes of their service centres. I have noticed distinct, much needed improvements over the last many months here in Gurgaon/Delhi. It always is difficult to get a dealer and ASS centre functioning as it should when sales and service numbers are not huge, i guess, and when the centres are relatively new.

Anyway, do mail a list of complaints, observations and suggestions to Mangesh etc at Fiat, that way there hopefully will be extra attention given to improving the systems and processes of this FASS centre.
