    Suggestion to Mr. Adit

    Hi.

Yesterday I was in KHT for GC Kit replacement, Mr bharath committed to give me out the punto 4PM, but it was delivered at almost 8PM, it was delayed for almost 4hrs.......why this delay?!

I started from Mathikere 2hrs early to reach KHT at 4PM, but for my luck no traffic jams & got quick connecting buses reached at 3-15PM, early to scheduled time no offence, can wait 1or2hrs to collect my punto, but for my surprise, kit was arrived at 4pm it almost 5-15 to finish the job, by this time Electric power cut happened waited almost 30 min to take out my punto from hoist. after finishing the wheel alignment, at 6-10 it handed over to super!!:evil:washing team after making some extra noise to Mr. Bharath I took my punto at 8pm.

    Mr. Adit :

Provide the Electric Generator, it will save your & customers time.

I suggest to throw out your present washing group especially the gun man who delayed the delivery by 1.5 hrs. I have not observed/witnessed good co-ordination between SA & Head of the washer group.

Shall I know which brand soap oil you are using to wash the external body? I have not seen any soap foam on my car body at all, even a small tea spoon of car shampoo will produce lot of white foam. i asked Mr. bharath, not got definate answer from him.

I am not worried about washing, even without washing I could have accepted the delivery, but when the job entrusted to your worker by your SA, he has to do it correctly, efficiently & within the acceptable time.

Rest of the above it is good to see 'only' Fiat cars at new & neet work shop with nice people like Mr. Bharath & Mr. Suresh[Have to met him, only introduced & spoken over phone]

^^ Somehow every time tings goes wrong with washing. Apart from time factor, quality of washing makes me apprehensive. Hence told specifically during service that I don't need washing. These washing guys are mostly outsourced guys. So I shall get only interior cleaning done and don't bother of exterior wash. Would prefer my regular car cleaner doing.

The basic issue at KHT is communication. I have mentioned this earlier, but unfortunately, I haven't seen any improvement in this. They never communicate the expected time of delivery of the vehicle. There is no harm in taking a couple of hours more to complete the work, but you should keep the customers posted. Especially as KHT is situated at far end of the city. If you people inform us that car is ready for delivery at around 4-5 pm, by the time people from distant areas(read 20kms appx) reach there, you would have closed for the day and left.
In my case, I had left the car yesterday morning 9.15 and the SA promised to deliver the car today. When I didn't get any update till 12 PM today, I called him to check the status and how much more time is expected to be required to complete the work. He just tells me, "the car is still in the ramp, I will run a report and let you know shortly". He doesn't call me. I call again around 2.30, again he says, "work is going on and I will check and let you know in a few minutes". I then called Bharat and requested him to check the status. I told him that I am put up near Sarjapur road and it will take minimum one hour to reach there during peak hours. He said "give me half an hour, I will update the status". From experience, I know that nobody is going to call me. So around 3.00pm, I started and reached there at 4.00. As he said work was going on. Asked him what time can I get the car. He said, by 5.30-6.00. I said OK and waited and at 6.30 all the work, washing, and invoicing was completed.

I am complaining not about the time taken to complete the work, nor about the quality of work, but about the lack of communication of the appx time required for the work. It can be an hour plus or minus. I am fine with that. But what is wrong in keeping the customers posted?

Completed 60k service for my car today. In general, I am happy with the work done on my car and I don't have any complaints as of now. :)

Following were the jobs to be done:
    Replace all fluids: Done
    Replace all filters: Done
    Engine oil flushing: Done
    AC cleaning: Done
    Replace Timing kit : Done
Hard gear shift in 1st and 2nd gear: They did something on this. It's better as of now. Need to observe for a few days
Check squeaking clutch pedal: Issue fixed. NO squeaking now. Clutch is smoother too. ::T
Water seepage into the boot during heavy rain: They said they fixed it. Need to check when it rains heavily.
    Washing was neat and clean.::T
Did not do wheel rotation, alignment, and balancing as the SA himself hinted it would lead to side pull. I have done these several times in the past four years, including twice from KHT, and I never faced any issues. Anyways, as he himself is not confident about the skill level, I decided not to do. Sai Iyengar is right opposite to my apartment. I will get it done there.

I will share the bills later. Came to around 18k. Main cost was for parts and labor for timing kit, which alone came close to 10k.

:thumbs down..had given my car for 15 K service couple of weeks back but yet to receive the bill, reason system problem . Anyhow paid 9300/- in total (6300/- for general service and 3000/- for 3M with two free coupons). I am not happy with the 3M treatment at the service center as the swirl marks still there. Have to visit again for some warranty stuff and bill. :(.

For such treatments its always better you get it done outside at 3M shops or other detailing professionals like Sonax. Not only with Fiat, am not comfortable getting these sorts of detailing done at any A.S.S

    +1

Secondly, after personally getting my car treated at 3M and watching work done on numerous vehicles by both 3M and SONAX i can only conclude 1 thing.
Given sufficient time (which is definitely available for car lovers) and the right set of equipments (which most of us already own) i think detailing is really a DIY which can save a lot of money .
Not many might agree but with the exception of the hand polisher all the other products are available and i honestly feel with some effort spread over a few weekends would bring back factory finish .
