    My Punto is at KHT motors again to rectify the hot-start problem. Actually I had visited KHT last Friday to resove some other issues including the hot-start problem. My car was at KHT on Friday and Saturday. Following were the issues to be resolved:
    1. Battery not charging/power leakage while car is running. After running some kms, car fails to start and MID display gets reset when attempting to crank. Car starts after making 4-5 attempts.
    2. Brake fluid level goes down frequently. Needs to check for any leakage.
    3. Minor exhaust leakage, some gasket seems to have gone.

    All issues, except point no.1, were resolved to my satisfaction. Apart from the list above, they also did tyre balancing and alignment. The drive has become much smoother now.
    Issue no.1 was not resolved, probably becuase they were not able to diagnose it correctly during service, and the engineers thought it was resolved. Unfortunately, that was not the case. So, to resolve this issue, I have left the car again at KHT today. The SA told me that he would be able to give the car back only tomorrow because this seems to be a complex issue and needs more time to diagnose & fix.
    I have requested Bharat, my SA, to check the relays and the alternator too.
  2. one problem which was told that resolved popped again yesterday evening onward s. "Check number plate warning" . this problem was shown in the car from the second day of delivery. I dont know what type of fixing has been done by the mechanic at SC.

    One thing good about KHT is that the moment you get Adit or Shiaram involved, things happen at the speed of light. The confidence that Shivaram instills in the customer is immense and interacting with him was a nice experience.
    After two days of diagnosis and test drives, the issue is identified to be the dying battery. The technicians at KHT checked the alternator and the relays and confirmed that they all are in good health. Finally before taking delivery of the car, Velu, the technician, took a test drive and I too went along with him. The issue didn't appear again then. I need check for a few days. Shivaram suggested that next time the issue appears again, we will replace the battery.

    Big thanks to Adit and Shivaram! You both give us the confidence to visit KHT in future.

    hello friends,

    i took my palio on saturday after the supension change... the car has become very smooth. one thing noticable is palio's dampers are way heavier and cosltier than linea's. only the front dampers were about 9.5k and for that same price i got the suspension kit changed in my linea.


    any way, KHT motors has been very helpful in sourcing the parts and helping me.

    Thanks to Ravi for pointing me to this thread some days back (okay, it has been actually a month) when I was going through the archives on the forum to see the reviews of various service centers. I was desperately looking for one providing the best service (or least negative reviews).

    I have had a mixed experience with KHT in my three interactions starting from the time I picked up the vehicle from their Whitefield showroom.

    Buying the Vehicle: I decided to buy a car in the spur of a moment and cajoling from one of my friend (and the company lease facility just helped to get this done quickly). Called all the three dealers and only KHT had the 90 BHP diesel model in White available for immediate delivery. So went to the showroom, gave booking advance and confirmed the data for delivery (after three days, once the paperwork from my company was complete). Now the salesperson was offering the usual goodies; but I declined them and asked for an AutoCop reverse sensor. And almost one year after the delivery of the vehicle, I’m still waiting for him to get hold of a piece. Looks like their supplier went out of stock and never refilled. He fitted a local which started acting weirdly after 3 months of operation (and stupid me, that I never picked up the warranty card from him in hope of the AutoCop model).

    1st experience with Service Center: A couple of days after getting the car, the automatic window controller developed some quirk and won’t roll up or down the driver side window. I visited the service center on a Monday at around 5:30 PM. There was a quick service bay where after checking it out, they told that the controller has to be replaced. Lucky for me, they had one in stock and replaced it in warranty. All done by 6:30 PM (even when they close out at 6 PM) and I was on my way back.

    2nd Experience with Service Center (1st free service): So my car completed the 5000 KM and was due for first service. KHT was the natural choice as it was closer and the last experience with them had been good. After booking the appointment over phone, I went there at sharp 8:45 AM. Maybe I was running a bit early (or people were running a bit late that day due to Monday Blues!!!), and it was approx 30 mins before the Fiat SA arrived. There were two people waiting for him before me. After winding up the process with them, he came to me and noted down the minor problems that I had observed till them. There was a large dent on the back door (due to my own stupidity while backing the vehicle and banging into a pillar in the basement of the office) along with some scratches on the side doors (rash driving!). I asked him to get the dent fixed and the scratches repainted. He noted everything, gave me an estimate, and told that the vehicle would be available after 3 days. So after the said time, I went back to pick up the vehicle. Looked at it and all the complaints I had registered were fixed. The dent was gone and the side scratches have been painted over. I was a happy guy. Paid the amount and took the delivery. After couple of days, I observed that the paint job that they did on the side door has discolored. Dunno if the body shop ran out of white shade and decided to use a local brand. This really pissed me off and I decided never to go back to KHT (alas, I had already responded to the feedback calls by then).

    Now the 2nd service was nearing and I was desperately looking for another service center. Searching on the forum, I came up a comment from Ravi indicating that his past experiences have always been good with the one he’s been using. I then joined the forum to PM him and ask the name. He shared the name along with the link for this thread and asked me to share my experiences. I went through the thread and looking from the responses from Adit, I really am impressed. Keep up the good work. And I’ve decided to give KHT another chance just based upon his involvement.

    Let’s see how that goes!
