    Hi all,

    I’m planning to change my service station from Prerana motors to KHT motors, Whitefield the reason is closer to my work place. I made a booking online their website is good very responsive got an confirmation mail and call I liked their customer friendly. I haven’t visited even once.

    Since 2nd service is very important to Punto, since in this service important items like oil filter, oil change and etc so I want to be sure that they do proper service.

    Anyone have experience with KHT Motors, do share your feedback on their technical skills.

    Hi Prahu, I got my Punto from KHT motors and no problems so far... the service head (Devaiah) is one of my colleagues friend and seem to be a professional. His contact numer # 9686045454 and I will be glad to connect with him. For sales, Mr.Vijay (9035002264) is one nice chap to deal with. Let me know if you need any assistance. But keep in mind, I've only done 3k so far and no issues for now, so, certianly can't vouch for their technical abilities just yet. OT: When the Manipal motors closed down, most of the gang moved on to KHT!

    Just got my car back from KHT motors service after leaving my car for service yesterday.
    Odometer reading: 1708 kms (didn't do much driving as I was really busy)
    Issues: car had a slight pull to the left, glove-box was little tight and tends to get stuck at times, the front wheels caps becomes black when the car is driven on wet road (anybody else with this problem?)

    Was a mixed bag of emotions about the servicing, especially after moving from Maruti to Fiat. Met the SA- Arun at 9.10 AM. Was really friendly and listened patiently to what all I had to say. Told him that I was a TEAM FIAT member and he gave me "Oh, thats great" kinda look and explained what all was done during the 1st service. Gave me a vehicle delivery time of 3PM.

    Called him around 2.30PM to ask if it was possile to drop my car at home since they said they have pickup and drop facility. He said that the driver has gone to deliver another car at Infantry and would send him if he returned before 5.30.

    Got a call from Arun around 5.15PM saying that it raining heavily and its not possible to deliver the car home. I said that I would take the car today morning by 9.30AM.

    Went today morning to pick up the car by 9.15 AM. The car was neatly washed and wiping was done in front of me. I checked out the entire car n saw everything was neatly done.

    1. Glove box clip was adjusted and it works perfectly now
    2. Wheel caps becoming black: he said it was dirt from front discs (didn't buy that reason, I said that I would bring it back if it happens again. He agreed to address it)
    3. Wheel alignment was done. Drove about 4Kms and checked (good job). Best part is he came along with me in the drive and asked if I was happy with the service.

    Came back and paid the bill amount of Rs. 105, thanked him and drove off to office.

    I guess people do need to change their opinion about FIAT service. Of course there and one off cases but all-in-all I was happy with the service at KHT. Wish all FIAT service centres were like this. It would definitely will help FIAT win the confidence of all their customers.

    The explanation is right. ::D
    This is due to the material used in disk brakes, black dust is formed when you apply brakes. I have seen this in other vehicles too.
    Good to see you are satisfied with the service you received.

    105 bucks is what he said for the 'standard checks'. Since it was a small amount I just paid up and did'nt occur to me to ask because I was checking on the work they had done.

    I own a Palio Stile & it was due for a service, having covered 15k+ kms. The last service was done at Carnation mainly because Manipal had closed down & because Carnation was next door to my office. Having heard a lot about KHT, I decided to pay a visit & drop off my car.

    My service advisor, Arun Dayal inspected the car & noted down the issues mainly 1> belt sound for 5 mts after cold start, 2> low levels of radiator coolant, 3> one of the front tyres kept losing pressure, 4> one of the wiper hoses had to be replaced. He said the car would be ready by 6 pm. He gave an intial quote of 3500 incl 1200 for labor. I thought that was a little steep by itself. However, I was in for more surprise when he called me after a few hours and said that the total estimate will be 4800 because of coolant replacement, clamp change etc.

    When I went to collect my car, it was being washed. I am pretty satisfied with the service quality. The car looks new & the engine innards are a shining black or chrome as the case may be. Pickup seems to have improved as well. I dont need to be an auto guru to tell that I was completely ripped off. I would advise future service customers to be on guard.

    I am posting the breakdown of the bill. The attitute of the service advisor, Arun Dayal sucked big time. He seemed to be doing a great favor by servicing my car. Also, he was very obtuse when it came to answering my queries. Has any of you dealt with him in the past?

    PS - I have heard that one of the owners of KHT is on this forum as well. Request him to take note & appropriate action. All the goodwill generated over the past few months will come to nought if your employees try to kill the golden egg laying goose
