Went to KHT last week to clean the EGR+Air intake Manifold as my Linea was suffering from less pickup. Even after insisting that they clean the manifold ( I did not want to take any chance) as expected the service guy did not clean it. Please note that I even insisted on writing it EGR+Manifold on the job list. Since they did not clean it I had to check it myself and then speak with Mr. Sharanappa which he understood and told me to take the car next day after cleaning the manifold also. Problems :- 1. Why it was not informed that the manifold is not cleaned before ? You cannot expect every customer to verify all the work done. 2. If manifold cleaning is not usually taken at KHT they could inform me in the beginning and leave the choice to me whether I continue at KHT or go to some other workshop where they do it. Due to this I lost one full day. 3. Charges are high 3225/- for EGR + Manifold cleaning. I understand there is labour involved, but it is way too high compared to other workshops. At Outside workshop EGR+Manifold including intercooler cleaning doesn't go beyond 2000 - 2500. That is almost double had I asked for intercooler also. I am not actually complaining on the service charges , as it's up to you to set the price and it's on the customer to decide whether to take it. What I expect is a clear and transparent process. Whether you are doing the work what I asked for and what will be the charges ? I suggest please fix the charges for the jobs which are routinely done and let the customer know. Also if you are not going to take up anything customer has asked for, inform the customer upfront. I appreciate Mr. Sharanappa who took this issue and got the work completed next day.
