    Went to KHT last week to clean the EGR+Air intake Manifold as my Linea was suffering from less pickup.
    Even after insisting that they clean the manifold ( I did not want to take any chance) as expected the service guy did not clean it.
    Please note that I even insisted on writing it EGR+Manifold on the job list. Since they did not clean it I had to check it myself and then speak with Mr. Sharanappa which he understood and told me to take the car next day after cleaning the manifold also.


    Problems :-
    1. Why it was not informed that the manifold is not cleaned before ? You cannot expect every customer to verify all the work done.
    2. If manifold cleaning is not usually taken at KHT they could inform me in the beginning and leave the choice to me whether I continue at KHT or go to some other workshop where they do it. Due to this I lost one full day.
    3. Charges are high 3225/- for EGR + Manifold cleaning. I understand there is labour involved, but it is way too high compared to other workshops.
    At Outside workshop EGR+Manifold including intercooler cleaning doesn't go beyond 2000 - 2500.
    That is almost double had I asked for intercooler also.

    I am not actually complaining on the service charges , as it's up to you to set the price and it's on the customer to decide whether to take it.
    What I expect is a clear and transparent process. Whether you are doing the work what I asked for and what will be the charges ?

    I suggest please fix the charges for the jobs which are routinely done and let the customer know. Also if you are not going to take up anything customer has asked for, inform the customer upfront.

    I appreciate Mr. Sharanappa who took this issue and got the work completed next day.

    Adit - Last week i had booked for checking the recurred issues and took my vehicle there. I returned back happy after the following issues fixed

    1. Grinding noise near front suspension area
    2. Creaking sounds on the front seats
    3. Door & Dashboard noise

    +ves from this visit:-
    1. Since i was taking my vehicle from Singasandra to KHT, i was late by 45mins from the appointment time. The receptionist had courtesy to check if i was on the way to the service center.
    2. When told to SA that few issues recurred after last service, no questions were asked. He started taking down the issues again and test drive was taken to replicate the issues i was facing.
    3. I had taken permission in office for whole day thinking that, it would certainly take whole day to get things done. But to my surprise, car was handed over back by 12:45pm and i could go to office rest of the day.
    4. I have a good rapport with Velu in KHT (dont know his designation now) from Kundanahalli days. After seeing me, he immediately checked why I was there and also ensured that he would offer any help needed. He is such a nice person to work with.
    5. Biggest advantage of KHT is, it has very huge area to park the vehicles and the work there seems to be in no-hurry, compared to service center in Vecto where you have to literally fight for parking your car.

    I visited KHT fass last week for replacing my mud flab. They said the old type flabs are not available and they have only new cup type., that cost 899. but the fixing charge is 400.

    Now I am thinking is there any regulation on the labor charge with FIAT. 400 for fixing a mud flab is too high as per my understanding. The new design is too small to work on muddy roads. But good for looks.

    ^^ After the launch of Absolute edition, I got the door sills and the new mud flaps installed at Prerana Lalbagh road. (They were still attending to Fiat then) and I wasn't charged anything extra as fitment charges.

    Same here when I replaced them over a year back at KHT during one of the routine services. No separate charges for fixing mud flaps.

    My friend got his 75k service completed for his Punto 75 HP at KHT. He told me that KHT folks constantly followed up with FIAT and the warranty provider on extended warranty claim and updated him regularly. He had to replace timing kit, some power steering parts, and rear power window motor, all under extended warranty.

    Three Cheers to Adit and team, for making things better for the customers. :)

    Service sickness started for me even before i gave my Linea for first free service to KHT, something like exam fever :)

    Option#1
    Tried registering online service through khtfiatcaffe.com , at 10:00 AM. Gave all the details for appointment tomorrow (saturday - 22mar 2014) and got a standard template autogenerated email like somebody from KHT will be contacing me...Waited for 4 hours till 02 PM, no body did.

    Option#2 E-mailed.. he..he..what do you expect?

    Option#3.. Thought KHT wants to hear my voice.. Called in 080 28410124 Got a female voice " The service to this number has been temporarily disconnected."

    Option#4: Thinking it may be BSNL's fault, gave in a try to the mobile number- 8494920040. Phone keeps ringing with no answer.


    Now, have chosen Option#5 and hence drafting here.. Please provide me more options, if any :)

    Meanwhile, i remain..

    Would like to reserve that option as a last retort.
    Iam sure adit would peek in to this thread every evening if in city and would act on this.

    But as a loyalist, i expect some sort of minimal ownership from every KHT folks for the responsibilities they are attached to.
    KHT already gave lot of soft advertisements for Palio service camp this weekend and advertised these phone numbers. Iam sure i may be not the only one calling up them, Cant they have atleast one channel of communication open?

    Top guns doing micromanagement everytime is not good for everyone's health. Unfortunately, this story is getting never ended.


    Update:
    Seems Adit is closely monitoring this thread with insta-updates. Just a minute back, got a call from sales advisor Mr. Touseef that he is directed by adit to look after and assured me that my service shall be taken care tomorrow with no issues @ 09:30 AM.

    Hi Adit,

    I would like to share one of the recent experience i had with KHT Service. I had given the vehicle for hard gear shift problems and some burning smell after driving the vehicle for a while.
    Service advisor kept the vehicle the for almost 5 days and gave back the vehicle saying nothing is wrong. I was advised during the service that they have checked master cylinder, slave cylinder, and clutch kit, and everything is perfectly fine. Guess what, I had a break down within 5 days. I was going along with my family for an important event. Now, They have totally lost trust with Fiat. During the break down we had a bad experience with police guys over there. Now they feel hesitant to come for long drives. Even i have similar notions. Niggles here and there is still ok. But breakdown after the vehicle was checked is not something i would have accepted.

    Thought of letting you as you care for people's feedback.
