"There were hairline scratches here and there but today when I checked the vehicle there was heavy scratch on the backdoor near the wheel arch."

Really sad. Many people dont take the same level of care as we do while handling things which we really love and care.

During my last visit to KHT, I noticed a Punto's door was scratching against an Indica while the SA was sitting inside the Punto and its owner talking to him standing outside. I told them it's touching the other car and they gave me a strange look.

I had a bad experience from another place (public parking) where a Sumo's door created a dent on the shoulder line of my Punto front left door :(

Hairline scratches are because of the guy cleaning the car. I specifically given him specific cloth to clean the car but he used it to clean the cars too (my house owner's and neighbour's) and seen the cloth itself lost its glory.

I seen in KHT, they park the vehicles too close whereas in Prerana, there is some good enough space between vehicles. I usually use my hands as door protectors if I feel that opening my door will touch another next to mine. Most of the people think that the cars are just a carriers but I feel all my vehicles as my family members only.

Better to carry a P&S camera and click the car from all angles just before handing over, the job card can be edited by them even after you create a ruckus about any damage that happened in their premises.

I have had a bad experience with a certain dealer at Chennai, finally the pics came handy and the tables were turned around.

Are you sure that that scratch happened from the Service Center?

If there are the reason for any scratch on our car that has to be fixed by them. This is totally unacceptable.

But, don't we also have the copy of the job card?

Will use my mobile camera itself next time.

Do you expect me to swear on this sirji? Why should I lie to a SA and give the same in a public forum? I shown him all the other hairline scratches he even didn't noticed, including the wheel cap scratch and argued that the scratch near the wheel arch is for sure not done by me.

He specified the scratch on the job card but before reaching the car from the lounge it took 3 mins and they were taking the vehicles in and out of the service floor.

My Punto has a pin bulge on the bonnet. That was gifted free during 2nd free service at KHT. I could never make out how they managed to make that. When I asked the SA that time, what he said in a very casual way was something like this, "These technicians are very careless in the workshop while handling customers vehicles". This happened was couple of years back and the SA himself is not with KHT anymore.
Even now, inspite of adit intervening and trying to improve the service experience, I am still reluctant to take my car to KHT for a major service.
I had mentioned my experience in my ownership thread as well as somewhere in this thread.

    Hey Senthil,

    1. The question was asked by me and not DRIV3R. :)
    2. That question was to savinvas and not you. :)

This means there is less expertise or there is lack in workforce availability. If I still feel the cabin noise (as I was not able to drive more than 40 in that traffic I couldn't test it), that is the worst I can expect from a service center where the boss is ready to delight the customer and the floor people are reluctant and he definitely loses one more customer because of this.

I understood it Ramesh ji. But I explained my part that the scratch he mentioned in the job card and I was replying to the previous all posts. :)

Even my Palio was gifted with a pin bulge on the bonnet. I know how it happened, as it happened right in front of my eyes. The mechanic working on the car open the engine oil cap and put it on top of the engine, filled oil, checked the quantity and close the bonnet BANG. The engine oil cap was still sitting on the engine and came in the way.

I will not say that. There are good technicians there. There may be bad ones too. What is lacking at the lower levels is the customer focus, which cannot be enforced, but has to come from within the individual. I like the way Velu works, by the way.
