    I put the beauty to KHT yesterday. My review on pre-service:

    +Ve

    1) When I went there after booking online, the SA asked to wait some time as he was handling a customer.

    2) Once he is done with the customer, he listened all the complaints I said and assisted a service man for trials.

    3) The trials went fine. He checked the complaints I told along with the pickup, Pickup with AC, the throttle response, etc.

    4) Even it is an emergency call on putting for service, they took the vehicle for service and informed that he will call to inform whether the issue is minor or major. This didn't happen with Prerana in my previous encounters. I need to wait for the job card to be prepared and it takes minimum of 30 mins in Prerana to complete the procedure. The procedure in KHT is done within 20 mins and I happily left to office.

    I expected the call from the SA till 4:00 on the information of the issue - minor or major. But there were no calls. So I called him to check the status - the issue is minor or major, when the car will be delivered and so on. I got the only response that the car is in the service floor and they are checking it. I asked whether I will get a call if the things done or not but there were no calls till today morning 11:30. So I called again the SA and the reply is same the service is underway. Then I confirmed him that I will get my car today. Hope I will get a call or message from KHT to pick the vehicle today. I liked the way Prerana works in this regard (hospitality and customer information system).

    Hope all the issues mentioned to SA and engineer will be rectified today and get the car in good condition. Will post my review of service once I receive the car back.

    But why did you have to leave the car at the service center for a whole day?

    Because there were more things to be corrected (OBD giving ABS unavailable error, noisy cabin after 60 - there was a bodywork done; backdoor had dent and I done dent removal and painting in Prerana and after this the cabin started absorbing air noise after crossing 60, the cracking sound while braking in bad roads). So I put it in their workshop. Am still hearing the same response and hope Mr.Adit will make a note of it. In KHT, if there is delay I can inform to someone responsible (they put a billboard there with numbers and email ids).

    Post Service Quick Review - I feel old wine is better than fresh vodka.

    There were hairline scratches here and there but today when I checked the vehicle there was heavy scratch on the backdoor near the wheel arch.

    I asked the SA and he mentioned that he specified it in the job card. After trial yesterday I checked and there were no visible scratches. But within time the SA prepared the job card, someone taken other cars and scratched that place (nowadays I used to drive fully left track and only when I am going to take a U turn, I change to right track). Heart broken.

    Wait for the detailed review of the other issues. I will take the car in the elevated expressway and test it by tomorrow and post my detailed review.

    Looks like we need to prepare a list of things to be noted while giving for service and when we take delivery post sevice!
    1.When taking delivery make sure all parts in place. May be wondering why. Sungoa has reported that his battery terminal cover was missing after service. We rarely notice these small stuff
    2. Take pictures of all scratches and dents while give for service. These people may make new scratches or make existing scratches worse during service. When we question, they would say that the scratches were already there, flaunting the job card.

    Thanks Thulasi. Noted the points. Will do from next time onwards. The scratches they cleaned with thinner and only a small line is visible now. Need to see after washing the car tomorrow how much the thinner helps. And to mention, the first line I put over the service centers (Prerana over KHT) :lol.

    Thinner may not be a good idea. It will wear the clear coat out.

    Coming back to topic, I make it a point to walk around the car with the SA and make sure that what is being noted down is correct. It is really appalling that these guys take our prized possession, bought with our hard earned money, so casually. Worst thing is, even after all of this, they will object to being called names. I will stop now. I do not want to use expletives.

    It's all trust. I trust till my trust is not broken and if broken I trash.

    I asked for a cover up/patching not cleaning/wiping with thinner but these guys do all temporary solutions. All TASS gives only standard answer - It don't look good. Now I learnt the lesson.

    The people understands really late that "The customers are running the business; not the businesses running the customers".

    So I think we as customers will get good things. Please don't mind the objections. If there should not be objections we need to run only bhajans here not forums/debates (Mods: I am giving this comment in good sense only).
