Sorry. Missed this in earlier post :)
Depends on an individual. After all the events in this thread some may feel shy or scared :)

All the below has a potential to make someone confused rather than clarifying :). Also, giving suggestion which is neither on this side nor on that side has a potential to confuse someone :) further..
Following are the posts you posted and the details I could find: :)

Cottons & wiper fluid is mentioned which savinvas was already charged separately. On top of this, savinvas was also charged additional Rs. 250/- towards CONSUMABLES which we were talking about.

Charges for Cotton waste & wiper fluid are not mentioned here ( I checked that full post also) which savinvas was charged additionally in addition to Rs. 250/- towards CONSUMABLES.

Following is another post of member giving some details on these charges of Rs. 250/-

savinvas has also got some work done - AC and something else for which he was already charged with labor charges separately. This Rs. 250/- for consumables savinvas was charged is over & above those labor charges unlike the post you posted of mightymaveryk

I thought we were discussing exact same entry as Rs. 250/- towards CONSUMABLES. :)

Neverthless, if any other TASC has also charged Rs, 250/- with the exact same entry of CONSUMABLES, ask them. But simultaneously ask KHT also. That’s what I’ve always mentioned.

Why is there a resistance and so much discussions on asking KHT few basic professional questions?

@savinas, that really does not answer your query.
Very sorry to see the response which is concentrating more on the words used and not the contect of the question!!

While I was writing my previous post, I missed the following recent post.

Now, look at the approach & the difference here:

It's savinvas being a customer who was supposed to be irritated, angry or aggressive and it is KHT which should have been on defensive. Look at the above communication & the language / approach used by savinvas - gentle, logical, without even a trace of anger or aggression. Was I wrong when I assumed/ estimated that he might be feeling shy or reserved to post on this thread which is already heated ? :)

And KHT has still remained conveniently silent on Rs. 250/- towards consumables charged over and above cotton waste, wiper fluid & super glue. Very conveniently, KHT's previous post & this communication mention only cotton waste & super glue.

Sadly, in the above communication savinvas looks to be on defensive being gentle & KHT still protrudes confidence assertively :( . And we're still discussing harsh words, whether the charges were right or wrong, whether others are also charging or not, if yes, what are they charging, wait before making any conclusion or allegations, this is not KHT customer service thread, it's the irony to use *** words etc etc.
This is IRONY, my friends, not the "irony" mentioned earlier.

Now, you know why I kept repeatedly posting the basic questions post so that discussion does not get distracted ?

The question posted by Savinivas, Vahanpujari and few others have not been answered. The question was, the break up of Rs. 250 as consumables when the itemized consumables were already charged. Still most of us are waiting for the breakup, but we did receive an answer that it was company policy. But the answer does not satisfy the question.

Thinking again about if I missed to mention any additional work which was done, I recollect there was painting done due to rust on a small portion at the back ( under the back door near the tail light towards the top) The size of the rusting was less than an inch. Only that small portion was painted as I was able to see a lot of dirt near the painted portion at the time of delivery. This was informed to the SA and he then called a boy and he cleaned that portion with some cleaning spray and cloth.

This painting work was not mentioned by the SA towards the Rs 250 consumables. I do not think he missed it, as he had informed me specifically that this is carried out under warranty without any extra cost. The delivery of the car was delayed by one day because he had to take permission from some manager for this work under warranty.

I also wrote that I don't say these are right or wrong, I say so many SCs randomly charges this on name of "CONSUMABLES".

I don't think there has been any attempt to not question KHT.

    Thanks for sharing.

And just to add, in case you feel so, there is nothing to shy or scared, we as a customer has every right to get the answer to our satisfactory.
Whenever you get time, try to ask SA or Service Manager about it, its not about 250, they must accept they have charged it wrongly, if they can't give satisfactory answer.
Or we have an option to reach to adit, in case they are not doing it right.

Even if they bill you for painting it is fine, but cant say that it is included in consumables. As a practice, instead giving generic terms such as consumables, they should mention the exact item that is chargeable. If they mention that this is the cost of painting, there is no confusion there.

I read in some other posts where minor painting job was included under consumables. You get some work done and the exact details are not mentioned in the bill, it can cause issues in future, there is no proof that certain work is done at all.

^^Correct, the details should have been clear.

SA should have told you, if its the case, that they have charged Consumables used to do above work, there would have been no confusion.
Please read last post, there are still not clear, if it was wrong :). This still may be wrong, but some jumped the conclusion after 1st post itself.
And what is the harm to wait till final details comes?
And harsh word, from anybody is not going to solve any issue anyway.

I read that post :) I do not think there is any ambiguity in savinas's mind. Pls read the post again and again carefully. You'll be able to make it out :) This is a classic case of a message gets distorted when it travels down several communication mediums.
Pls focus on savinvas post in bold below :)

BTW, Nice try dear !! :)

About half a can of rust off is used per car when the brake drums are.opened and cleaned with emery sheets....

The rust off is used to spray on to the springs in the brake liners so no noise comes when applying brakes....

Each rust off can costs 900rs.... So more than 500rs of consumables are being used on every car indirectly........

The rust off is also used in most of the moovable parts like door hinges and the power window links inside the door panel....

How do you guys think the power window noise complaint is cleared?????
Also in suspension parts so no noise comes when driving in bad rads....

All these cans, cotton wastes , brake pad cleaning sprays, brake pad rubber sprays, emery sheets and many more that I can't remember will be used on every car......these are purchased in whole sale quantities per month and the used up material will be dividied among the total no of cars that come in the station. The 250 rs is a rough figure where all these get covered
Even the wiper washer fluid costs 100 rs mrp..... U guys get it at 87 rs.....

This is as much as I know.....
