    Today went to GARODIA, KOLKATA for some checkup ups and 2 minor issues.My problem was solved but,what I saw today at GARODIA w/s is very disturbing indeed.
    1)Previous SM has already left his job(joined barely few months ago and was very customer friendly).


    2)Only 4 people were at front office--one lady receptionist,one lady who just enters the details of car & owner in the job list,one ss he was also preparing & closing the job card,one cashier,one supervisor of the bodyshop.New SM was there but he is least interested to interact with the owners.


    3) LINEAS & PUNTOS of all models and yrs were parked hither & thither with a thick coat of dust on them ----many of those were with their window/windows open.Couldnot believe my eyes-----how can a fass could be so negligent about our beloved cars?




    4)The ss was always busy quoting the estimated value of the estimated cost for the replacement of a concerned parts whenever a customer was telling any problem about the same.He was utterly impatient and finishing the preparation of the job card was seem to be his only goal.He was least interested to hear and make a query about the problems.


    5)The ss don't know which way to pull/push the wiper stalk to splash water for rear wiper :eek:.


    6)I booked my service first on 11/11 and then changed it to 18/11 ----in their entry book my No. was not there on both the days.But the receptionist lady was kind enough to give me a booking otherwise 140+140=280km could have been gone in vain.


    7)A couple came to report about a noise from the front shocker of their GP.The ss denied to check or test drove the car(w/o jobcard) to identify the problem and told --'the shocker pad has gone bad,cost is--'.


    8)THE FINAL AND ULTIMATE SHOCK-----A gentleman(accompanied by his mother) came with his brand new(got delivered on 06/11) T-JET EMOTION and reported two problems---a noise from shocker & problem with the painting on the bumper.No one in the ws was giving priority to him.He demanded the the car to be delivered the next day after the painting correction but the bs supervisor just denied it and could not give him a before the next friday.Utterly confused he was reqesting one person after another(for quick rectification of the problems)--but without any result.After one hr or so he was already repenting his decision to purchase a FIAT('sabai na balechilo, sudhu gadi ta bhalo bolei kinechhilam'---'everyone said no,but I purchased this car because it's good'.The man & his mother were still sitting there at the ws when I left around 1:30pm.


    9)The ss was forcing every customer to pay an advance(about half of estimated cost) whose car were not supposed to be delivered today or whose parts were not available at the ws---in case the estimated bill was a little bit on the higher side @>10,000.


    10)The body shop supervisor is so arrogant in his attitude.


    11)The behaviour of the ss towards the drivers(not owners )was very bullish---very disturbing indeed.


    The future of the FIAT car owners in & around kolkata are certainly appears very grim in the hands of GARODIA FIAT ,KOLKATA.

    For prospective owners ----the problems are clearly associated with the dealer's ws at kolkata and one must not generalise this for all the ws at all cities.Contrary,I have read here at TFI , very good feedbacks regarding many dealers/ws in other cities.Even my previous experience with GARODIA WS was quite good.

    Thats the truth. I can gurantee that FIAT will be forced to shut down its GARODIA Unit unless they changed everyone from the WS. All of them are bullshit and never worked on any car. Roadside mechanic have better understanding than this horrible pathetic fellows.

    Here is another one of how this dealer is robbing the customers.... very recently my car met with an accident i sent my car for repairs. I have insurance coverage. Now what the dealer has done that they have made a settlement with the insurance company for 70% of the repair charges and have presented them that bill, of which 12.5% is payable by me as a customer. but they are also charging me directly the 30% discount that they have offered to the insurance company. This is not fair. Somebody please suggest what should i do and who should i take up the matter with. I have already spoken to the toll free number for Fiat India but they seem to help less on this. I am not able to get contact details of Mr. U.S. Panda or Mr. Mangesh. can somebody help me with these contact details. These guys need to be taught a lesson.

    I agree with you Ravi. The company can have their own price and it is upto the customer to take up the price or not. But the point that you are missing here is that they have made settlements with the insurance company and are offering them a 30% discount and that they are charging the customers directly so even after insurance the customer has to pay a considerably higher price, this is a wrong practice which needs to be corrected.

    I would recommended to contact Consumer Court/Forum to look into this issue. I have doubt how much FIAT authorised people will pay attention on this.

    Ravi,I mailed this link to service.india@fiat.com yesterday and have got a reply already.But sadly they have wanted to know problems with my car overlooking the bigger issue.
    I have replied to that mail this morning,hope FIAT will take some initiatives to improve the situation at GARODIA WS.
    If not,then I am in serious doubt about the prospect of FIAT INDIA in & around KOLKATA.

    MY request to every fiat-an who has got a poor service experience at GARODIA , please mail your experience to service.india@fiat.com.

    Ravi, some of us have been screeming and shouting for long time. GARODIA is not at all a service center. It was far better service i and many would say with TATA / FIAT. Now think people used to complain TATA / FIAT customer relationship. So, how pathetic it could be with GARODIA.

    Think about a situation Ravi where you brought your beloved vehicle to GARODIA. Its their responsibility to have a test drive and tell you the problem at least those for which he/she is being paid. But once you are in its like a LOST WORLD. They asks customer what to change. What the f**** is this. If i am responsible for telling this to you they why you are there taking away our money.

    Enough i have written and think it is better to stop discussiong about these bustered. Perdon my language but can't tolerate anymore.

    I have a great idea. I love my PUNTO a lot and in no mood of seeling it. So, as i do frequently, i have planed for long tours to some nearby states and do the servicing there :evilsmile and can gurantee it will be far better than GARODIA at least.

As a result got a call from GARODIA long back and their only understandable workshop manager Mr. Sanjoy Dasgupta, who came from TOYOTA and never worked on FIAT, and he has requested me to bring my car there. I have a plan to do the same and will share my experience off course.

    this is the contact number of Mangesh i got from my last communication with him "+91 2138 672764". And as Rajarshi said if nothing got settled please let all of us know. We will file a joint petition to Consumer Forum and Court to f**** these guys.
