My Linea got a speed breaker hit and visited Forza Italia for the checkup. Read more here - http://www.teamfiat.co.in/linea-1-3-mjd/5865-poetry-wheels-my-linea-mjd-43.html#post841892394.

I called the above contact number given in the Fiat Linea - Fiat Punto - Best Petrol, Diesel Cars in India website on Sunday evening and my call was promptly attended by Mr. Nandakumar and he advised me visit them on Monday morning. It was around 11.30 AM when I visited them. Forza Italia was located right next to the Tata Dealer (ARAS PVPV Motors) and it is also owned by the same Tata Dealer. The service center seemed to be well organized and very spaces. Mr. Nandakumar promptly got a mechanic to test my car and he confirmed that the noise was due to the bent engine shield and they will fix it in 30 minutes. They also offered to replace the Head lamp and fix the bumper on the same day. Since I had to return to Chennai by evening, I asked them to just fix the noise issue. My car was taken in and delivered back to me by 12.30pm. All the staffs were very courteous and helpful. I then continued my drive back to Chennai.

Yes Ravi. It belongs to the ARASPVPV group. They already use this name for the Tata Dealership and hence a new name for the Fiat shop. :)

Wow, the workshop looks really spacious and importantly neat and clean. Also glad to know that the staff was courteous enough to quickly attend the issue.

Did they beat the bent shield back into shape? How was it rectified?

Not sure on how they worked on it. They told me the bent was removed and refitted again.

Nice to hear some good experience. ARASPVPV is having almost all dealerships I think and they've got good name as well.

Usually they remove it and hammer it, That's what I saw being done at TAFE

Name of the this service center is nice and catchy:)
    It means Go Italy :)

Thats what is done usually to straighten the sump guard.

OT: Having said that, once my punto's sump guard was brought into shape by putting a jack underneath and lifting it at a Tata Commercial vehicles SC at Ooty. It had got bent in V shape because of left tyre going into a large pothole. They saved the effort of removing and refitting but i was happy since it was done on request at closing time of the SC that too at a non-fiat SC.
