    ok guys. this just in.
    i just confirmed that Fortune Powai (Malhotra house) are taking service requests for our FIAT's. The lady on the phone (Suman 67221242) confirms that they did have instructions to stop giving appointments for FIAT cars but have now been instructed to start accepting servicing requests for FIATS. so seems like for now we are good. i dont know how long will this last but for people like me it definitely sounds good. so go ahead and book your slot now.

    so i got the car back without being vacuumed or washed because the SA told me there's lotsaa load on the SC.He has told me to come back after 2-3 days in the evening.As i am well acquainted with sameer and wilson i didnt make a ruckus and i think sometimes we need to understand that its not the fault of SC that there is only 1 workshop for FIAT cars for the whole of mumbai. i also met TFI member harsh with his gorgeous looking punto.anywayz checked everything and all parts were genuine.There was no problem with brake discs and i opted out for the 3M interior cleaning , so the bill came out to be 12k. FIAT needs to do something about the shortage of SC coz its gonna get outta hand.

    Fiat CS has become proactive

    I got my rear shockers changed at Om sai , Mumbai on 14-3-2013 to correct some rear suspension noise. After few days i could hear some thud noise from the suspension and to my shock the TASS contract was terminated and I was told to take the car to Balaji, thane the exclusive fiat SC.The SA at Balaji inspected the car and acknowledged the noise but refused to acknowledge the spare warranty citing there is no fiat circular in regard to provide warranty for other dealer spare.I confronted that the shockers were changed with Fiat SC and since now all TASS SC are closed the exclusive SC should acknowledge the warranty.The SA again gave excuse of no circular from Fiat in this reagrd.I called Fiat toll free number and to my surprise received call from the SC after 2 hours to get the issue resolved.The very next day the fiat CS called and informed me that the spare carries fiat warranty and it will be acknowledge by the SC and this was confirmed by the SC also.
    This was something very quick when resolving any issue.this proves that Fiat has changed their attitude and are getting more customer friendly.

    Hi all fiatians

    I have serviced my tjet on 25th april at balaji autoworld. it clocked 13000 km. i was late for my free service by one month, so they didnt give me free service saying it lapsed & i have to pay for it, so did I. I dont know whether I should have persuaded for free service. my experience is not good at all for few reasons.
    1) they first told me I have to replace all four discs and break pads, saying they have worn out, I was suspicious, so I told them not do change, & I will take my car to fiat company. so after 10 mts they told, now they are fine & no need to change, that was weired.
    2) my left rear door window jammed, though I have extended warranty they said, its not covered, you have to pay 8000/- to replace. I again found it suspicious so I told them not to touch them.
    3) They didnt clean the car properly, didnt even did polish, when I showed to supervisor he said 3M person is not available, bring your car some other day.

    I feel we must have access to some technical person from fiat whom we can call and ask our querry. I dont know to whom shall I ask about window assembly and disc brakes and pads. please guide.

    p.s. I paid 8600/- for paid service, though it was free service.

    Regarding brake pads and disk, I would say leave it, or get it checked from any roadside mechanic to be sure if it needs change.

    For window assembly, it has to be covered under warranty (forget extended warranty for now). How can service center decide what will be covered or not. Insist on warranty.
    Do post your complaint on fiat website ( and see any action is initiated or not.

    Make sure you read up on terms and conditions of the warranty provided. Fortune Powai tried to get me to pay for the fuel pump within Ext Warranty and I showed them the terms after which they put in a warranty request to Fiat.

    Fortune powai are horrible people. they are not customer friendly, they overcharge, they bill wrongly, they never deliver on time or no time.
    IMO noone should buy/take any cars at Fortune motors. i just had yet another but still the most horrid experience at fortune motors powai. i will be posting it on a fresh thread in a couple of day.

    Yeah for they are just providing the service to FIAT, for which they will not be blamed and Questioned, if they charge more or dont do the proper work,
    This sort of things will happen till they build up more FIAT Service Stations in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
