Sad to read your buying experince with RDC kris,RDC is getting pathetic day by day whereas Ramkay is picking more sales bczo of their good customer relationship,no attitude & many other things & they are doing this all with less car dealer experience than RDC.Forget about that, you just enjoy your drive with Fiat Punto.

Any clue if RDC motors have tie up with Reliance Insurance for cashless repairs on account of accidents.

Guys, whoever is getting their milestone service done, keep in mind that the service records are not reflecting in FIATs database. I believe it is not yet synced. I had a situation last week when i had to use the extended warranty to replace the glow plug. I did the 45k servicing at RDC (details are available in this thread itself) & FIAT was in the verge of denying the claim as they didnt have the details. Fortunately RDC was prompt in emailing a copy of the bill, but it didnt have the Odo reading. Now i have to send an email explaining the whole story.

You have to directly check with RDC, buddy. :D

The last I know about their tie-up is that they have with Bharti-Axa and FG.

Guys, Apologize for a lengthier mail.
We are in process of looking for a Petrol sedan as a replacement of Hyundai Accent which served well for last 7 seven years for my dad. When the selection process started i was very keen on bringing the TJET home Went a step ahead to dream the TJET standing next to my Punto 90HP. During the last week of december i called RDC and the other dealer for a test drive only to hear the the vehicle has been sent to the Chennai Open event for ferrying the plays. My brother went ahead and posted on the Facebook wall only to receive a call from the RDC Sales Team asking for my requirements and informing me about a call from the SA but none has been received until now. Even before taking a test drive i receive call from Pune asking about the feedback of the test drive. I understand there is a communication gap between the dealer and FIAT India but never imagined it would be this wide.
I feel my father is loosing interest on linea TJET and wanted to the check the German competitors. As a FIAT fan it is very hard to see my immediate family members leaving this brand away hence wrote a mail to FIAT india (service.india@fiat.com)

With great regret i would like to bring to your kind attention that there has been a lack luster response by the
Dealers here at Chennai for a Test drive of Linea TJet Vehicle.
I understand that due to Ongoing chennai open Tennis Match all Demo vehicles are stationed at the stadium
for ferrying the players around but at the same time did not imagine that dealers don't have any cars for
customers who come for an inquiry during the ongoing days.
As a current owner of Punto MJD i wished to add another FIAT to my portico as a replacement of existing
Hyundai Accent used by my father hence i spoke to RDC and Ramkay FIAT Dealers in chennai requesting for
a test drive. The response from these dealers are pathetic and not confidence inspiring. Going by the attitude
of the dealer my Father lost his interest towards Linea and wanted to check the German rivals. Beaing a Fiat
fan myself and a member of TeamFIAT/Team-BHP Its very hearting to see FIAT loosing a potential customer due the lack luster attitude of the Dealers in Chennai.
My father who is in his sixties have had a high regard on the italian giant due to cutting edge engine technology and build to last cars but seeing the current situating these alone is not important but the dealers attitude which does matter most..

    All the best

My experience of buying my car with RDC motors was very bad and I would definitely not recommend RDC to anybody. Ramkay FIAT seems to be better just from their attitude towards a new customer. I had to write a very long email to Fiat India about them.

Hey 5u3zEr0... My experience with RDC nandanam was also the same... WORST EXP I have ever faced in my life... I will not recommend RDC to anyone... Anyone who is willing to go there please go with the video camera and make a recording of what they commit on discounts, accessories, delivery date etc.... I would give minus rating to them...

If you can elaborate your experience that would help others who are dealing with RDC.

Here is the email I sent to Fiat India:

"I had taken delivery of my car a month back on 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] July 2013 and even though it is a month since I got the car, I want to share and inform my disappointing experience of buying this car.

I was very clear from the beginning, that I wanted my car to be delivered with 2011 model Linea’s ground clearance of 170mm and only after getting email confirmation that it could be done, did I book my car on 28[SUP]th[/SUP] of June (Email attached). The delivery time was mentioned as 10 to 15 days so I was expecting my car in about two weeks time.

Subsequently I asked for the accessories list (Attached) which was emailed to me and the price in it for the spoiler was Rs.4100 whereas I was quoted Rs.8000 for it. On asking why so much of a difference I was told that it was because of painting and labour and then we settled for Rs.6000 for it. But finally I was charged Rs.6500 for it and had to pay it before taking delivery.

In between I had no updates from the dealership about the status of my car and after my follow up I was told that the vehicle had arrived at the yard. Subsequently I fixed up a time to see the car at the yard before registration, this was around the 10[SUP]th[/SUP] of July. Just after I started for the stock yard on the day scheduled to see the car, I called the manager to inform him that I am on my way and then he tells me that the car has been moved from yard to the workshop for PDI and that I can’t see the car in the workshop also....So at the end, I was not able to see the car before registration. This annoyed me!

Since there was no updates about the status of registration of my car I purposely kept the final payments on hold till they followed up with me which finally happened after a couple of days. I finally made my balance payment on 11/7 and the financing bank made their payment on 15/7. Now after getting the full payment, somebody from their workshop calls me and tells me that the ground clearance cannot be done and that I would have to pay for it. This really upset me, that after giving their commitment from day one now they are giving excuses about why this could not be done and it would take time, etc..........This left a very sour impression of the dealer and made me very disappointed in the way I was being treated for buying one of their top end cars!

We finally arrived at a compromise and I agreed to pay Rs.10,000 for the ground clearance kit and as usual I was not given any commitment as to when the kit would arrive. I was anyway pushed into taking delivery of the car as it is. I finally got the kit installed on 13/8, again after a lot of phone calls, follow up with the dealer and three weeks after delivery. The excuse I was given was that the parts had not arrived from Pune.

After this started the confusion and delay for the registration. I wanted the car registered at a specific RTO as per our address but they said it is not possible. Subsequently I had to send copies of registration certificates of our other vehicles after which they registered the car as I wanted, after a delay of three days.

Finally the icing on the cake, I told them on the 19[SUP]th[/SUP], that I would take delivery on the 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] and on the 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] day morning I re-confirmed this with them and told them I would be there between 15:00 and 16:00 for the delivery. So I reached the showroom at 15:35, just to see my car parked outside dirty inside and out and looking nothing like a new car should be, ready to get delivered. It was very disappointing to see my new car for the first time in this state, added to it there were some paint marks on the car and a scratch on the rear bumper. To cut things short, I finally got my car after waiting for 4 hours at 19:30 during which time the car was cleaned hurriedly and the paint marks removed. The entire delivery process was pathetic and disappointing compared to the delivery process from other car companies. Added to it the next morning in daylight, I find that the car has not been cleaned or vacuumed thoroughly as there are dust, dirt and marks inside the car.

Also, the spoiler which I ordered was painted shabbily and was of a different white shade and the excess adhesive was present on the dicky and looked ugly. The complete documents were also not given to me correctly and there was no formal handover or explanation of any of the car’s features, everything was rushed, as everyone at the showroom seemed like they wanted to leave and I was the reason for the delay. I had sent an email about these things to the dealer which I have attached.

It is very sad and disheartening to experience all this happen to me when Fiat is trying to re-launch itself in the market and gain customers. I have used the Fiat Palio 1.6 GTX for five years and I know how much of driving pleasure it gave me and that is why I decided to buy the Linea T-jet immediately when it was re-launched. If not for this I could have cancelled my booking in the initial stages.

I do not know what to expect in reply to this email or if something is going to be done about it but still I thought I should write an email about it and hence I am sending this.

    With regards"
