  1. Hi, I am a newbie on this forum, I got to know from posts previous to this that Adit happens to be the dealer principal for Fiat. I currently own a Safari and am seriously looking to buy a T-Jet after driving a friend's car and being completely floored by it.

    I am in the process of evaluating the dealers from whom to make my purchase, but then a fellow Safari owner warned me about KHT in particular with reference to certain malpractices in registering the extended warranty, his experience can be found here.

    Mr. Adit, congratulations on the achievement of KHT, its heartening to know you place customer satisfaction way above awards, it really reassures a prospective customer like me, but, what can you as the owner of a major dealership do to help people like my Safari friend and ensure that such things don't happen anymore?

    I know the two brands (Tata and Fiat) are not linked anymore, but it is the same management which holds both the dealerships, hence my query here.

    @Luke,
    I for sure one of the proud owner of mighty GP from KHT caffe.. My experience so far has been very good and pleasure. I will definitely any day will reffer Caffee any day to any one expecially Mr. Touseef (SE) of Caffee is the right person to contact for buying process.

    You can look at my ownership post http://www.teamfiat.co.in/punto-1-3-mjd-90-hp/10144-my-italian-white-stallion.html for more info.

  3. Thanks for the headsup Zenwalker, will ask for Touseef when I visit Fiat Caffe, but, my question was not just about the buying part alone, I was more concerned about the gimmicks employed by dealerships to get a sale, that's the reason I posed a query to Mr. Adit himself. Since you are a recent customer (going by your ownership thread) of KHT, have you checked for the validity of the extended warranty if you have availed it? Would appreciate if you could post a scan of what it looks like as I know only the booklet given by Tata for my Safari. I am especially wary now that friends have told me what happened with them. It could be any dealer who might resort to such fraud. Thanks.

    @Luke,
    Attached is the document of confirmation about Ex-Insurance i got from KHT side (grayed out critical information, sorry), ofcourse there was a delay of 15 days since delivery date, but Touseef followed it up and promptly kept in me informed on the delay. I must say he even reminded me via phone that he had sent it.

    He informed me that i would be getting a manual of the policy document in a 2 weeks time but till now heavn't got it (Insurance comp to be blamed, i dun mind the delay though) . Have contacted Europa guys and they will be mailing it soon.

    Yes sir, i have checked the validity of the policy with Europ guys and they confirm its valid. Ill be calling FIAT guys and re-check the policy validity as well, once i get the manual at hand.

    Btw if you meet Touseef, do mention you are from TFI with him. :)

  5. Hey that was pretty quick Zenwalker :), thanks a bunch, glad to know that you have checked validity and found everything's in order, is there a separate booklet mentioning the terms and conditions of the extended warranty? Also, two things I noticed in your scan above were :
    1. The warranty seems to have been issued 18 days after the sale of the car, why?
    2. The dealer's stamp seems to be missing or is it blocked out? In the case of my friends who have Safaris, the extended warranty issued by KHT has not mentioned the amount in the designated space, so was wondering.

    But, nevertheless, thanks for being so proactive in helping answer my queries. And yes, I will definitely mention TFI when I visit the showroom, do we get any additional benefits?

    @Luke,

    1. Yes there is a warranty manual booklet which i will be getting soon. Ill update you on that here once i get it.
    2. 18 days delay is being informed to me by Touseef, he said that after the sale/delivery done, they take few days of time to process all the documents and sent to the insurane company. But its ok and not a problem because insurance holds good on the date of 1st sale is made.
    3. Yes its missing, but the insurance guys acknowledge it to me via email that its being insured via KHT dealer. So its kool.

    @Luke,

    Well i am aware of this case that has come up.......it is a 2010 case......also there i no payment record found by us in his file which makes the process even more difficult.....also he bought it through a leasing option which complicates things further as the leasing company does not usually take EW.......

    The biggest problem is that no payment record is found against EW........We have taken it up and looking at the options........But what i fail to understand is that someone realises 3 years later that his EW is not valid ....lol......

    who ever has read this post in TeamBhp please post my reply there as i am not a member.......

    I dont think this is correct. My Punto was bought under company car lease scheme in 2009. It included extended warranty as well.

  10. Thank you for the response Adit, it's good to know the issue has come to your notice and I am sure that it will be resolved.

    My thoughts on your response :

    How was the warranty policy issued to a customer unless payment is made? Even if payment is not made but the warranty is issued on goodwill, don't you think at least a valid one is to be gifted?

    I don't understand what leasing option has to do with extended warranty, it's like saying an underbody treatment or the 3M 12 month package cannot be extended to vehicles bought on lease :confused:

    And for your lack of "understanding" why a customer did not realise that he was given an invalid document speaks for the customer's trust in the dealership.
    Extended warranty will only come into play a minimum 24 months later from date of purchase and only when a claim is made, which was the case here, so are you telling every customer to cross check every document issued by KHT for authenticity on purchase?

    By the way, the person who is at the receiving end of this has also read your reply here and since he too is not a member, he's asked me to post a reply on his behalf:

    Dear Moderator, I am not talking about safari or Fiat here, it is about the dealership in question and I am happy to know that Adit is active here and is allowed to post his views unlike in other forums I am a member of.
