    Besides the PDI check, why is that the SA are soo adamant in making sure the car they are delivering is clean and sparkling.

    See if you wish to bring this issue into Mr. Adits notice. Too bad to see even Mr. Deepak is not making efforts to do the best before hand.

    Please clarify me one thing here.

    PDI is done before the registration of the car, right? So i guess after PDI, the dealer shall take atleast 2-3 days to get it registered and deliver it to the customer. So though PDI has been done befoe hand, what is the guarantee that in that 3 days the car could get damaged again? :confused

  2. As you can see the on my intro thread the car was brought for pooja and it was fully drenched in rain (That is where I did the PDI). My mistake that I didn't notice this during the inspection on a wet car. Since the paint was touched up on the handle, I am sure someone at KHT has noticed it and try to fix (or hide), Shouldn't they inform the customer or at least do a good job of re-painting it.

    There i no guarantee that we will not get a scratch when taking the car home after delivery. By doing a thorough PDI, you can at least know when and where the damage happened, during transit or at the dealer after you booked it.

    But it is dealer's responsibility to ensure that they deliver a brand new car to the customer and not a repainted car!

  4. Since this is just the matter of door handle ( as a replacement which anyway comes in black and get painted at dealer), I am fine even if this get re-painted at dealer or at factory. The thing which made me sad is they(dealers) were not honest about it and made me worry what else did I not notice in the car. Though all the worry went away when I drove the car, which is awesome.

    I am sure it is a brand new car. Problem is with the way the car is handled and taken care of from the time it arrives at the dealer's yard to the time that the customer takes delivery. Also, it would make the whole experience far more enjoyable, if the dealer was more transparent. The could own up to the mistake and offer to fix it as best as possible, rather than making a halfhearted effort to hide it.

    In my case, there was a small paint chip off on the front bumper, which I noticed during PDI and requested to fix it. The dealer sure fixed it, but took off both chrome beadings from the front bumper, for reasons best known to them. When I brought it up, it was promptly replaced, but surely would have been better if the dealer told me that they had to remove the chrome beading and why.

    I am sure too. I was just blaming the irresponsible behavior of the dealer. Dealers are the ones we interface with and they should behave like brand ambassadors of the company. And no one would want to see a scratch mark even before he starts driving it.
    Even today, with a few scratches gifted by the bikes and autos in Bangalore, it hurts me when my car gets another scratch.

  8. I have dropped a mail to Mr. Adit to see if he can help me with speedy rectification of the paint issue on the brand new car. Its such a shame that I have to put up with this issue on the delivery of my new car.

    I also noticed that the Reverse parking sensor I was promised during the booking of my car and fitted on my car is NOT of Fiat brand (Which I specifically asked and clarified during the booking and was told that it will be of Fiat brand). The parking sensor fitted is of some local brand from Red Soul Enterprise (Red Soul Enterprises Private Limited, Basavanagudi, Bangalore | Red Soul Enterprises Private Limited, Automobile Accessories Dealer in Bangalore - Reviews - asklaila) as per warranty card handed over to me. I am really surprised how this all happens from brand new Fiat Caffe, which suppose to be protecting and projecting fiat brand value. Hopefully they replace this too.
