    Most of the dealer ignore such customers (even if customers with real problems).

    nkrishnap said it correct, document it. I see every dealer has a website but usage is minimal.

    Have a/c for every customers, log every communication, scan the service request form and post it to there account, follow it with a detail report.
    This way every action is reported to customers and recorded, have a EPBX system with call record feature & CRM software.
    If a you show the record's to the customers, they will be more reasonable. But all this will take little more effort and money.

    Basically change the practice to electronics form, now-a-days even a restaurants uses gadgets to place order.
    a similar system will log all the complaints to the server and sent a mail to customer.

    now a days i keep facing a lot of these problems especially since the interaction here of mine has increased....i will not be taking names but there hv been a few people come into the showroom and after finalizing the deal argue saying that "adit has posted additional discount for TFI " ... n then the blackmailing n threat to move dealership etc starts......i hv always been very clear in my communication here i think.....

    another incident that happend 2-3 days back was that a customer from here exchanged his car and the market price was say"x" but choose to keep the car with himself till the delivery of the new car but did not agree to most of the prices quotes and kept giving verbal higher prices of quotes recieved by him.....once the deal was done n teh car was sold and recorded again he comes up holding the higher verbal price quoted to him by an outsider which cannot b verified........referring to nkrishnap post in prerana about an exchange is typically what happened here....so i met him and only to satisfy him n close teh issue i said whatever dealer margin i have i shall give it to him which leads to me making a loss and surprisingly he agreed ....wow....that sure is nice of him.......and after knowing that i am going to make a loss he argues to increase tht amt by 1000/-....whaaatttt !! how much difference is that gonna make....and when i explained that the company is already made a loss on his car by giving him full margin n he wanted 1000/- more i took the money from my own wallet and handed it over to him and again surprisingly he took it.....lol...really.....but then 2 make sure it is recorded i gave it in cheque to him........

    incidents like these demotivates me as a dealer to try my lvl best n go out of the way to help my customers......but i wont let tht happen...i will still make sure i am there for all your problems.....jus wondering where 2 voice out my opinion and experiences since customers already have places to do so :)

    @Adit: That particular customer deserved to be dealt with Take it or leave it attitude. If that customer goes gaga over his triumph, he will encourage a few more people try this trick out.

    Understand your frustration, it happens. Customer always thinks your profit margin is more than what you say, no one knows who is telling the truth.
    I appreciate that you made a customer happy and closed the deal, if it is not happen you are not at loss. But the problems we customers face is more, dealers / manufactures are always forget the old customers and concentrate on the new customers, that's where the problem start.

    I know one of my friend (living in HOODI) bought the car @ KHT last year and not happy with the service, so now he get the service done from CONCORD Motors, Dairy circles. When i said that the feedback from the TEAMFIAT members are positive, he want to make a visit for his next service.

    So Forum like this not only help the customers, but also the dealers. I know that is what motivate you to be here in the forum to help the customers and keep a Good Name for KHT motors;).

    Thats Bad. We will ask for the discounts, but we should not make a big hole to others pocket. Money is money for every one. If you are having crores also why to loose 1 rupee. We are earning money in a legal way not looting like our politicians.

    what u say is true ....it has 2 b a mutual benefit for both the customer and dealer......but this experience of some 1 taking undue advantage tht 2 after taking delivery of the vehicle has left a bad taste for me @ least...... and what hurt more is tht he actually accepted the extra 1000/- i took out of my own wallet so in my company the file does not show as a negative sale.....lol....its not a big amt but its the thought and intention of a person.....

    nkrishnap - i even showed him your [post where u explained about the experience with your friend in prerana n how things were sorted b 4 hand by sitting across the table and discussing and reaching a mutual conclusion without any 1 bearing losses.....tsk tsk even tht did not help....

    ccprakash i fully agree with u.....each should appreciate the others hard earned money.....

    I read this post thrice and I am not sure I understand it fully well.

    Why should somebody blackmail you if you offer discounts for TFI members? I didn't get that part:confused:

    How did this particular customer Finance his purchase? Did he take Finance option provided by dealership?

    When you say deal was done and recorded, when was the deal to buy the old car closed? When I bought Spark, the first thing the Dealership (Trident Chevrolet) did was to value my old car and buy it. Transfer form was brought along with new car booking form. I gave them physical possession only after getting new car delivered. After or during this there was no scope to haggle and if some one does then I think you should drop the ball on the whole deal.

    Like someone above said, you should have dealt with 'Take it or Leave it' attitude assuming you had closed the deal for old car purchase officially.

    It's a double edged sword really. While being active on internet provides a great way of gauging market pulse/feedback, it also leaves a business man very vulnerable. I am not sure there are easy answers for it.

    the discount part for TFI members i mean that a few of them have approached the dealership and after negotiating with my managers then in the end say what more extra can you give being TFI members since Adit has promised....now i fail 2 understand where i promised this online as well......tht is no big deal...ppl will always try 2 get a better deal....

    the 2nd part he chose 2 keep the car with him since he wanted 2 give it only when he gets delivery of the new car...at that time the price quoted was "x" but he wanted more for his old car....and as posted by nkrishnap that how the auto industry dipped and since i did not hv the old car 2 give 2 the buyer the price obviously changed and informed to the customer.....no response except "i want more" ....and then he comes takes delivery and after the excess amt is refunded 2 him he wants the price for the old car as quoted to him by a 3rd party who we do not even know....as per him ppl hv quoted him tht price n he should get only tht price or more.....

    the way i c it - if i dont agree then he blows it outta proportion saying KHT backs off on its commitments.....if i agree he goes on 2 take more undue advantage......double egde sword really ......n the difference was not so great as i expected it 2 b.......was sm 18k or so from the quote he claims he should get and what we had offered......but it still lead 2 a loss for me coz he came 2 the office n as i explained in the previous posts i gave him all my dealer margin n went into minus coz he actually took another 1000/- from my pocket :D :D

    as mentioned earlier by me in the starting...i want 2 b here 2 ensure you dont face problems since you have invested a big amount in buying cars ....its what my dealership is meant 2 do...give service n good service.....if they dont give good service then what the hell am i paying them for ?? why am i employing them ?? they better do their job 2 ensure customers are satisfied....

    but incidents like this hurt us also..... but what has happened has happened....moving on the festive season is here.....let hope we can celebrate together soon :)
