Guys ,I bought my new GP from dada motors Ludhiana on 9/4/2014, the problem I faced is that the speedometer shows 310 km on delivery,
when questioned the manager said the car was bought frm abohar godown which is approx. 300 km away.....I believed stories:(,
took deliveryof my car the night .I reached home only to find my new punto was leaving a trail of drops of oil on the street.....
I called up the service centre they called me to FASS the next day for check....result aftr inspection was COOLANT PIPE FAULTY ..was replaced so I spent 5 hrs at the FASS..... I found gate passes in my car glove compartment that it was used as a test drive...I was shocked ...went directly to the manager he started bullshiing
and lying now I was losing my cool....he tore those slips n started to reassure me that the car was LIKE A NEW CAR....but I wanted what I paid for that is A BRAND NEW CAR ......my entire excitement n happiness of buying a GP is LOST

feeling cheated.....on this forum I learnt of the vin code....on decoding it I found that the GP I have purchased was manufactured in jan-2014,
calculating the H (which I learnt here in forum) system on speedo means tht my car had done 200+310=510 kms
I am going to post pics of the slips I had found..(as I had taken pics of slips b4 going to the manager)
pls advice me with wht to do now?
the distance I hav done is only 48 kms
pls advice me with wht to do now? the bank check has yet to b deliverd to the FASS, some formalities pending need my signature, they have my DP of 2,52,000
rest was financed... need advice so tht I can bargain with them....HELP would b appreciated.

Please do share the pics paaji.

By the way, the lack of H does not mean that car has done 200Km because H can be reset manually also. If the dealer is committed to use cars as test drive cars, the customer can not find it out if they are smart enough and cheaters.

In my case, H was reset manually and the car read 0Km at delivery back in 2010.

But still, no dealer shall drive the car for 300Km from a "godown" before delivery. It does not look sound or professional at all. And I have never heard of a dealer having a godown 300km away. Its the height of stupidity.

Does the slip say "Test ride Sangrur?"

Sangrur is far from Ludhiana. This indeed looks pathetic from the photos. No customer deserves it.

Please send a mail to Fiat India and attach these pics along. Its better to keep Fiat India involved to be honest.

Yes paaji that really looks pathetic. Also by no mean Sangrur is 300kms away from Ludhiana. I hope Fiat India Can sort this out issue in best possible manner.

I know them very well. Write to fiat and at the same time inform them that if necessary action is not taken then you will go to court. The dealer will come to beg your pardon.

Take legal help immediately. Speak to a lawyer handling consumer court disputes first. If push comes to shove sending a notice and waiting for reply may be your last resort.

Hold the check. Stop payment from the bank.

Ask for refund with/without interest via email. Do not make arbitrary phone calls, contact via email only. Keep Fiat India in the loop for each email.

Ask around for going rates of Demo cars, for a fall back plan. If you somehow want to settle across the table ask for mega discounts. Citing reasons of being given a Demo car without your knowledge. If they are not willing to accept it's a demo car best to stall the discussion. Proceed with caution.

This sale made to you could make a case of fraud.

The best first step is to send mail to Fiat India first of all and also stop any further payment if possible. Then talk to the dealer about the slips you found.
