I had a decent experience with Tejaswi. My sole point of contact was bhanu. He helped with the loan process and put up with lot of issues as we had recently moved to hyderabad and didn't have a valid local address proof. I was in touch with him for almost 3 months as I wasn't getting the vehicle i wanted- a 1.4 white. Finally he convinced me to go for 1.3 MJD emotion. I got a chance to select out of 3. So opted for one that had run the least (16kms with H), March make, and Apollo accelere tyres. I only wanted the glove box lid to be fixed properly. The PDI was done to my satisfaction. I was made to wait for a few hours for the insurance copy but why would I spoil my big day for whatever reason! I recently came to know that he left tejaswi. I was shocked to hear that because he was pretty excited about the opening of the new showroom. He would always brag about tejaswi being selected for the opportunity to open the exclusive showroom by fiat.

congratulations!! to your friend!! the only reason that Tejaswi motors is selling less than their potential though its highest in Hyd is because of Shabbir!! Arrogant sales head!! Looks like he knows if some one decides to buy a Fiat, he will anyway buy a Fiat!! :)

    exclusive fiat showroom-dubious practices

well i happened to visit the so called exclusive indias first showroom for FIAT CARS. it was a bitter experience.i was about to be conned by the sales man in making me buy a linea of 2011 make.thank god i managed to wriggle out. the car was on display. i even paid RS.25000/- cash upfront . i was offered diesel version emotion which is now dynamic in 2012 for RS 980000 with discounts etc it was offered for Rs 960000.
i was not even warned that they would retain Rs10000 as cancellation charges.i was given no chance of comparing features and prices of 2011 and 2012 models of linea, the sales person said every thing would be explained on monday,i.e.3-9-2012 the incident took place on 1-9-2012. i made enquiries and lot of research in the night of 1-9-2012 i came to know that the emotion of 2011 model is dynamic of 2012 and that one could get 2012 linea dynamic for around Rs 10,20,000 on road in hyderabad after all discounts.
i immediately wrote a detailed letter on 3-9-2012 on my letter head,i being a lawyer and cancelled the booking on 3-9-2012 itself. The sales man said i would have to forgo Rs10000 i said nothing doing and that when other dealers are charging only Rs1000 how could they charge Rs.10000 for cancelling booking when most other car dealers of other brands would not even charge for cancelling booking or charge a nominal amount.
after a long wait finally received a cheque for Rs.24000/- on 18-9-2012. I hope FIAT is listening.i will surely take matter further.i want to thank one and all on this forum for enlightening me about Fiat cars . i am about to receive punto emotion BNW next week from MALIK CARS.:)

oh definitely,i was just waiting for the cheque, once i get it deposited.By the way i was startled to see a 2011 model of liena emotion on display, how can you display 2011 model when you have released 2012 model. i was not given proper information at all not even broucher of 2011 liena to make any meaningful comparison, also price list of either 2011 or 2012 liena. one bitter lesson never trust anybody by mere words. i really dont know if this is what exclusive dealership is how would it be in other parts of india. i think good faith doesnot exist,so too accountability, i am now very cautious in dealing with car dealers, especially their staff.
only reason to buy fiat punto and linea and was more than satisfied, when i drove them.i also drove other cars like ford fiesta classic, i20,maruti dezire all diesel, but was not satisfied.i have alto, driven for 6 years, satisfied with maruti, now wanted to upgrade to a better hatchback.

  7. Honestly speaking Sir,Showroom display vehicles are never brand new from the factory, when a car is launched they display the vehicle or maybe use it as a test drive vehicle for a year or so,and then sell it off to unsuspecting customers. This practice is rampant across all car brands not just "FIAT",these cars dont come with any warranty, neither the showroom will be responsible for anything...Its always better to stay away from these cars and deals...
Hope you have learned your lesson the bitter way,but dont worry your punto will make you forget all of these for sure..Btw,congrats on buying a FIAT,and welcome to TFI family...
Post your car pics once you get it,and a detailed experience...

No offense meant, but as a lawyer, I would have assumed that you would read the fine print, before signing a deal. From your post, I gather that you walked into the showroom, fell in love with the display car and booked the same. However, it is not clear if the sales executive actually claimed it was a 2012 model or did not explicitly tell you that it was 2011 model. Either way, IMHO you are equally responsible as the sales person. Forget FIAT, or for that matter forget any car, when you walk into a showroom and decide to buy a product that is in the showcase, how many times would you expect the sales person to tell you how old the product is, unless you specifically ask for it?

Also, if the 2012 model was available for 10.2 L and you were offered 9.6 L, that act by itself should have set you thinking. Also, I do not understand what you mean by
"I was given no chance of comparing features and prices of 2011 and 2012 models of Linea"

Did you ask to compare features and your request was refused, or did you allow the sales person to talk you into not comparing? Also, Sir, the lot of research that you did, would have immensely helped you - had it been done before going to the showroom.

Anyways, congrats on the Punto and welcome to the FIAT family.

PS: Nothing personal against you, but it really ticks me off when potential buyers try to blame their short-comings on the manufacturer. Sorry if you find it offensive.

I am visiting Tejaswi Motors in an hour. Could you please let me know the name of the SE, so that I can have a word with them and hear their version?
If I were you, I would have simply switched the car from 2011 Emotion to 2012 Dynamic or even better 2012 Emotion which should be costing around 10.6 or 10.8
And why did you opt for a Punto from Malik Cars, when you were looking to buy a Linea?
